fizzer needs to make money otherwise it’s a hobby. when i sign up for a game i agree to all terms and services. sometimes the opponent tries to stall but it’s on me to continue playing and not complain.
The case you describe is very different. Also even though fizzer needs to make money, he himself states that there are no p2w features in this game. If fizzer wanted to go down that route, that surely is his decision to make and to some degree i would understand if he thinks it would be more profitable, but at the same time i d be out of here in no time.
I dont think the autopilot is a p2w feature in general, as it is like others have stated, so bad on the vast majority of settings that even the weakest players among us beat it with ease. Also i like the feature. A previously tedious task of finishing a game where the enemy stalls an obviously lost game (or just doesnt realize) now turns into me just clicking the auto-pilot, which somehow is a very satisfying feeling :D
So i think it is a nice feature, however it is surely possible to create templates where the autopilot dominates any human player. Giant maps with low neutrals so that expansion is key combined with low boot timer, may even throw in local deploy for good measure.
I dont know if 4+4min qualifies for this, but given the map size + its confusing layout may make it the case, but thats not really what i m trying to discuss here.
Just saying that if we truly want to stick with the no p2w philosophy, than something like this should at least be discouraged in some way. I dont think its cheating and from the game creators perspective he may just be using a feature he got, but once such behaviour is seen, i think a message that states that the autopilot should not be abused in such way seems like a minimum.
Again, i m not arguing if the game creator did or did not have such settings. Just imagine a giant map with 1 min boot timer and local deploy, so basically no chance for a human.
Using it is only beneficial when already very winning.
Given the right map/settings, this just isnt true
