As long as there's no nudity, it's a game that's good to go for every age. Cuss words? Just don't let the fairy kids touch it. Drugs etc? Let the parents decide. The violence/blood etc. Is only hurting people with epilepsy. Besides, kids these days don't have batman, walker , TX Ranger, robocop and transformers. They need some sort of outlet.
Growing up, I'd play a robotech spinoff game on Playstation. It was the balls, it had everything from health bars that felt useful and cartoonish, badass machine gun robots, badass realistic jets that can fly in space, robot aliens, tall aliens, robot aliens that are distinguishable from other robot aliens so that you know they're awesome bosses, customizable robot suit that affects the gameplay, MLG half jet-robot battle mode, a very interesting plot, a love interest, half - Anime plot half - American badassery , cool robots that help you on the ground, other robot jets like yours, cool large bases for robots, real life helicopters you have to escort because they suck and you're awesome, betrayal by ground robots! An interesting 3-D combat system, graphics that still hold up today, and ... that's actually kind of it. Fuck yeah, take that innocent childhood, and unleash your inner Top Gun - Transformers fantasies!

What makes nudity worse than blood/gore? Personally I think gore should be ranked highest on the mature scale. Nudity is quite harmless in comparison.
I'm not saying nudity isn't a mature thing. However, it's not on the same level as other things featured in most rated M games.

I think both are on a rather mature level. Usually nudity in games is portrayed in a very sexual manner which is honestly not the best outlet for kids. Same with gore and blood. Some things kids shouldn't really be exposed to until later in life. But what kids are exposed to is up to the parents. Ive met little kids, 10, 11, who play games like Fallout and Skyrim. Skyrim is a little bit more mild as compared to Fallout (you see people exloding). It just all comes down to parenting. Kids are left to stew. Its kinda saddening actually. Parents should be more loving and less dependent on tvs and games to babysit their children.

I got rid of Skyrim..(my PS3 is a 40GB model, which means it can run GT6 and virtually nothing else). So in conclusion, the general opinion seems to be that it should be the parents choice. Although I don't think that some parents are qualified to make that choice.

Skyrim (and E. Scro in gen.) is very mild compared to Fallout. True- no f***ing way ES4: Oblivion deserved that M-rating.

That game does seem rather tame until you find yourself walking in to the Elder Scrolls version of Hell itself.

Yes, but oblivion wasn't rated M for that.
It was rated M for a COMPUTER MOD that made all female character nude above the waists...

Oh. Pfffft.
Mods are always play at your own risk. Rating the vanilla based on user content is a bit dumb.

but thats what the ESRB did. Look it up.
Seriously, if they looked at every mod for every game... almost all games would rate AO.

Depends on the child, I don't want a child who does nothing but swear, rage, and insult on my game of GTA or Gears of War. On the other hand if the child is well mannered and can keep his/her cool I'm perfectly fine with having a chainsaw duel with them.

It does really depend upon the child. Some can and eill handle it well, ithers will not. I have a friend who is not evrn sllowed T games at 15, but is still very perverted.... However, another friend played M games at 9, snd he is quite perverted as well. So, in thd end, the games don't affect the mind like some whackos play them up to. Its only the weak we willed that vould fall victim to their influence.

No.
Those games are labeled M for a reason.
If the parent does allow, it could show small children (5 or 6 year olds), things that are well, too mature for that age group. Violence in video games, as long as you understand it as a game, is fine. But having small children play and admire characters with mature traits (drug addictions, sexual themes, etc.) they either won't understand, or see it as a basis for characters and people in the real world.
If the child is younger than M, and clearly has a knowledge of the difference between the game and the real world, and is ready for such material, you can let them play it. Children in M-rated games also clogs up things like Garry's Mod and GTA with 6 year old boys who either spit into their microphone or scream.
Would you let a 6 year old watch Game of Thrones? Breaking Bad? other shows/movies with very adult content? If the child understands these actions are wrong, they can watch it. And the same can apply for video games
