America has already defaulted on its debt before. It was our revolutionary war debt to france. Other than that we have a pretty good credit score compared to other countries.

Also, don't assume that just because this kid is young that his ideas are meaningless. Thats the problem in our schools. We need to let our children think up these fears so that we can have a decent debate.

Eventually we will default. It is only a matter of time.

13-18 is classified as a young adult or teenager.

tbh, It's not about how old you are.. It's about how wise and mature you are.

anyway, the interesting part about this si that the us total public debt is around 6 times its income, while it still has a AAA rating from the rating agencies.
Whiel european countries in trouble usually have a debt between 2 and 3 times their income and have crapy ratings, you know why? because evryone knows that if they amke it clear that western economies are bankrupt they will become so, while no one udnerstands it its fine

Because I can't take someone who says that half of America would "be gone" if welfare disappeared seriously. It's an idiotic statement.

Also, frankly,you saying that doesn't in any way make my argument less valuable. And this IS NOT a debate. No one has actually put forth any reliable evidence for either side, just pure speculation.

I don't think there's a single nation that could successfully invade America through it's coasts. So China biting land off the US is in doubt. Although I doubt a US invasion of China could happen either. So they'll just chuck nukes at each other.
