Problem with solution 1: Do you really want to give a 16 year old girl a gun and tell her to defend herself against rapists? Seriously? So many innocent people would die.

Arming the population can anyone see what happened with gun laws in America? Guns have only resulted in more deaths and mass murders almost on a weekly occurrence. You can't stop rape like you can't stop death or birth...

The average criminal either is greedy or desperate. The mass shooter is simply a mentally ill individual who is sick in the head and wants to cause pain and suffering.
