(He probably didn't even think it was wrong, which is why he was so forthcoming to me. And I'm surprised no one's talking about the ass whooping he handed me)
Well, I seriously doubt he did not know it was wrong. It was brought up when he joined a coin tournament with both accounts and he had to have seen it (it was mentioned in the tournament chat even). It was mentioned on the forums as well (perhaps he missed that, I don't know).
I just think he figured nothing would be done about it because others have used alts on ladders at the same time and never been punished (for whatever reason).
I am also guessing he cannot mail, pm, etc. I would be his account is just outright locked, or a spammer being suspended would be pointless. So no way GG is going to get an explanation (or us) without the suspension ending unless he makes an alt to come here and say something.
I won't touch the GG aspect of it right now. I would think someone was aware he was doing (they are VERY active on the ladders in general) it but we are not privy to their discussions either. So I won't cast stones at them without hearing their side of the story first hand.
There has been a few GG scandals though (gnuff issue, aranka's antics, Orange issue), so I would like to hear from them.
I do not think GG can be blamed for this. Their leadership has been very honest in this process so far, and by choosing to sever ties with Arlecchino they have shown that they do not condone his actions. I respect them.
I don't know specifics of Gnuff issue. He had an alt in GG, I know that. I feel like he played two sides of some tournaments, but I don't remember if it was clan league (JSA was running the league back then). I don't think GG knew it was Gnuff, but again I am fuzzy on the details.
The Orange issue was he was playing two accounts in clan league (Orange and Wahoo). I don't think GG knew that either, but I think Turtles knew or something.
My point is just that it is always good to share the details and clear your clan so people don't jump to conclusions, as a lot of that was done in those cases because people who knew things did not come forward for a long time.
Blitz is willing to take all GG members who are fed up with their lack of leadership. Everyone is invited...except Ollie. Word is that he is ring leader of all these offenses. Down with GG!
Technically isn't that also part of the drama. Not that I'm one to "stir the pot". But those are also part of the reason as to why cheating like this happens.
Gnuffone snuck an alt into GG, yes. GG didn't know about it, and it did not cause any harm and was not a major deal except now GG really doesn't like Gnuffone :P Gnuffone did cheat in the clan league with the alt and was rightfully banned from the clan league for the next season (although he did not break any of warlight's rules, he did break the clan league's rules). That issue is over and done with.
I believe Aranka's forum postings were before GG was GG, back when they were still Relite. That's like saying if a [P] member had been annoying on the forums, it's a [WG] scandal. Simply put, you can't hold GG accountable for Aranka's actions from over a year ago.
The Orange/Woohoo thing is also not a GG scandal. It was never proven with 100% certainty that Woohoo was Orange's alt, but it seemed very likely. As far as I know, neither GG or Turtles were aware of Woohoo being Orange (assuming they are the same person). GG was not involved in this situation at all.
Gambler cheated in coin games; GG kicked him out as soon as they knew for sure he had cheated. This is how they should have handled it.
GG has faced a lot of controversy with various members, but I don't think any of it is really their fault. And when they have had members that were proven to be cheating, they handled it perfectly.
