For me, Warlight has always been about the friends I make. Because of this (and the fact that I'm not very good), my most satisfying moments are when I meet people who will eventually become my very good friends.

Like that time I was playing around in real time games (which I almost never do) and I happened on one of the most prolific modern mapmakers in warlight NinjaNic (https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer?GameID=5585605). Or that time I was looking in open games and saw a group playing against open seats. Rather than join the game, I set up a direct challenge of their group vs. my group and met for the first time Kasparov (Now Forbidden Knowledge) and JT (https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer?GameID=5252863). I also recall when I was running a tryout game and happened across the future leader of the LEA Captain Trips (https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer?GameID=5823790). Then there was that diplo that I joined (don't really play diplos anymore) where I met the creator of what I consider to be the best huge map available in Warlight. That was PKThunda (https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer?GameID=4905244). Incidentally, I also met another friend in that game by the name of Great Weald. I still don't think he's found the forums yet, but he's been a good friend of mine for a long time now. Then of course there was that time I met Blortis who has since become a good warlight friend of mine (https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer?GameID=7151247)

There are numerous others as well that I didn't bother to chase down; like Okoboji, Glacii, Cocky Cockney Coug, and agwarrior. Then there's also Lawlz. I realize that he didn't have a great reputation in the public forums and that often put him at odds with the conduct standards of the LEA, but the fact of the matter is that as trollish as he was in public, he was a very genuine, kind, and caring person in one to one (or small group) chats. Oooh, I almost forgot about [LN] Lion. He's retired now, but there was a guy made of quality stuff through and through.

Ahh, listen to me go on like a sentimental old fool. I'll let you all get back to posting your victorious game links, but for the record my accomplishments (which are meager) are not what satisfies me in this game. It is only ever always my friends.

Even at turn 40 the positions were about the same for both players - 1 great play could clutch the game for either of us - so the fact it was a strat 1v1 and that close for that long it's definitely one of my favourite games. Winning it wasn't the satisfying part, just being part of that epic game made it so satisfying.

One 29 June 2013, my partner an I achieved #1 on the 2v2 ladder. My partner is JurassicPark, who is my son. As far as I know, we are the only father/son combo to reach #1.

A new more recent best moment because I carried this game to a resounding victory for my team even after one of our team mates became an AI. https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer?GameID=9167788

this was my most satisfying game...

The most intense strategy/ally/double-crossing I've ever been a part of. I was ahead of everyone else by turn 17. It wasn't until turn 55 or so that the guy who thought we were allies realized I was just using him for info. If you look at the history I end up with 1225 armies per turn. That game got me to buy a new larger screen monitor the map was so big with tiny territories.

This was my first tournament win in warlight history, and inspired me to get better. I teamed up with another noob who was about my skill level at the time, Lolowut. We were awful players and yet we still managed to win the tournament.

Lobstrosity was #1 in the ladder at the time this game took place, and I was not a good player at the time. In fact, I don't think I'd ever beat a high ranked player before that, and lobstrosity was one of the best. Neither of us played well, but I managed to squeak out a victory. It showed me that it is possible to beat very high ranked players, and that game motivated me to become better at warlight.

Zibik was #1 in the ladder at the start of this game while I was not even in the top 15. I could now beat top players but it was rare, and I usually only beat them by surprising them. This game lasted 24 turns, and I managed to get the win. This was my first long game win against a top player and showed that I could actually play with the best.

I think those 2 games and the tournament mean the most to me because they marked my improvement on warlight, and gave me the confidence needed to succeed at a high level on warlight. I also remember the time Szeweningen told me on Warlight Chat that neither Lolowut or myself would ever take #1 on a warlight ladder unless we were the only two playing. He probably doesn't remember saying it but it really made me want to prove him wrong.

I played a game on the "A Tale of Four Cities" Map,and I was in the Middle East, I can't remember the bonus' name, but a second guy was also in there, one the western side of the bonus. Towards the end of the game, he declared war on me and I knew I was fucked. So I gathered all my men and went to the farthest point of the map. It was a strip of land blocking off another strip, so I had all my men positioned there, and when the time came, I played the abandon card, leaving me on the other side with only one territory. I remember the chat the turn before that,

Him: I'll let you keep your territories in Arabia if you surrender now

Me: Oh that's fine, really, I kinda prepared for this

Turn 38
--------
Him: Oh you mother fucker!

Me: TROLOLOLOLOL

Me: Welcome to the Iron Wall!!

I have many other moments that stand out, but this is just one that I love to share

It was a long time ago and I can't remember the specifics. Only that I managed to pull of a successful counter. I first used an airlift card to bolster my defences in a key region, and knowing that the attacker would attack said region, and lose a significant amount of troops, I attack him from the region as my last order.
