I thought this shoudl be in its own post. It would be GREAT to have an option where you could have manual picks, heavy fog and wastelands, but not reveal to the players where the wastelands are before they pick. The only way to hide wastelands is to go with random picks - which is doubly limiting (you get a random spot AND it could be next to a wasteland). I'd like to have the option to only make the wasteland locations secret.

Yeah it would definitely be a fun mode. I'm surprised you suggested it though seeing as it adds a new element of luck to the game

I do use wastelands the apposite of most people though. I often use 2 armies per territory with some wastelands at zero.

I'm fine with luck elements in team games. I just don't like them much in 1x1 games. In teams it can add to the fun. Also it can help level the playing field. I'm in a 3x3 game now with random picks, fog and wastelands. My team got 6 of 8 wastelands on our half of the map in all our biggest bonuses and we all started in crappy spots next to each other. Made for a fun challenge to try and overcome that crappy starting position.

In a 1x1 against good players even the slightest bad luck can tip the game. Failure to get a card piece when you attack 4x2 or 2x1 can easily cost the game - that happens all the time with 75% luck. Starting next to a wasteland and it's over. Etc.
