By it I mean the constant police shootings in the US.

A few days ago was the one year anniversary of Michael Brown's death, an unarmed black man shot dead by a white policeman.

Over the year, similar cases happened across many US cities, starting a movement called Black Lives matter.

On the anniversary, multiple people were shot, and police members and violent protesters were hurt.

The point is, it has been one year. Things haven't changed.

So instead of asking how to end it, I ask why it even started in the first place.

People enslaved people and then the enslaved people were freed by the people but were still not liked by people and some of the people who didn't like the people became people who are supposed to protect the people but were mean to the freed people and discriminated those people. Then the discriminated people grew up being afraid of the people who are there to protect the people. As time grew on, the people protecting the people got better and better, but the formerly discriminated people still fear and dislike these people and there are still some people allowed to protect people, even though those people are racist people, but people think that all the people protecting the people are bad people and so whenever some white people whose job is to protect the people shoots some black or non-white people for whatever reason, people think that these people who shot the other people are very bad people.

Not all cops are bad. Its too easy to make assumptions about what you see and what really happened. The media could show you a image of a black man dead on the ground with cops next to the corpse but that single image doesn't tell the whole story.

On another note I think its fucking stupid that we still haven't gotten past the skin barrier. Why does everything involving a white/black/asian etc person have to be labeled a racial issue? We're in the goddamn modern era, why are we here shitting our pants about petty stuff when we could be doing better things like exploring space or something else productive?

This. The media always likes to stir the pot and turn things into racial issues when there's no call for it. The way that people obsess over race only serves to create a "Us vs. them" mentality and propel racism even further.

Things like this probably happen in other countries, but the hyper-tolerant US makes sure it gets top media coverage.

Also, a more touchy question. If the race of every police brutality shooting (Ferguson,Baltimore, etc.) were the other race, would the controversy still be the same?

No, there is no controversy to speak of, because you know, minorities just can't be racist.

Here's the problem:

The Media attempts to put the middle and lower class blacks and whites against each other so the government can pass horseshit laws (ex: video taping a cop in Illinois is a federal offence). The media also makes it seems as though only whites can be racist, when if you look at just the right videos and facebook posts, blacks who say anything racist are met with very little argument, whites are faced with ridicule and threats.

Also, the media only covers white cop on black pedestrian, not white cop on white pedestrian, Latin cop on black, latin on latin, white on white, black on black, black on white, etc.

This is not a Race issue, it is a tyranny issue.

Zimmerman is a "White-Hispanic" in contrast to the well known "Black-Hispanic" ethnic group. I've also heard that "Asian-Hispanic" is a widely growing demographic.
