I imagine it's five because warlight has a large community of players that ONLY play 3v3's on big poland. This restriction would force them(or a few of them) to upgrade so that they may have frequent games as they do now.
Spikeknights makes a good point. It's great to want to improve things for the non-members, but the line has to be drawn somewhere, and we can't forget that the whole point of limiting features is to entice people to become members. I'm not necessarily arguing against raising the invite limit -- I'm just saying that maybe we should give Fizzer some time to see how things are going before making that decision.
I was curious since so many members love playing 3v3. Why not make this a payable option but for a much smaller price? For instance, to allow unlimited spots(or 6 spots), pay 5-10 bucks or something. Not sure what the price would be but it's quiet a bit down from the 30$ for lifetime membership and would keep some players sticking around. I for instance will pay 5$ to be able to make 3v3 games as that is all I play.
Now that is an interesting suggestion - offering "a la carte" premium options! Almost like buying a text messaging plan from your cell provider that allows a certain number of texts per month for a few dollars monthly fee.
I feel like with the large number of people who want to be able to play in 3v3s and don't or wouldn't otherwise play Warlight, it would be a wise decision to allow non-members to play in 3v3s for the sake of maintaining that community of players, who can invite others to the site as well as potentially become members later.
I would say 6 makes a lot more sense than 5 as the maximum number of players non-members can invite, and I agree that in a single player scenario, it should be any number.
I agree...at least for single player. I'm working on beating the insane level. I've been practicing via that template, but with some options tweaked. Now, I can't even invite the amount of AI's that are in the insane level.
