just got civ v the other day, just because it was on sale. haven't even played it yet. haven't played any civ since the original one. i think i'll be disapointed. don't have free time to do "just one more turn" game sessions like the old days anyways. :)

The good thing about Civ Rev is that it is simple, but that's just my opinion. If you want to play with friends or feel like a true conqueror, then you play Civ V. If you want to laugh as you wreck everyone's sh*t with your infinitely stacked units of artillery and bombers, then you play Civ Rev.

How about tactical combat simulator ? Series like Close Combat are great. Have you heard about General : Gettysburg by Darthis ? It is quite successful. Do you buy anything on Paradox or Slitherine online stores ?
Beyond Earth is as simple as some Mmos. I hate the orbital layer system. It is basically a temporary or powerup you would to spam as much as possible. Alienas are not challenging.
I have heard that civ be was a sucessor to another space colony game but with a 2d board.
I never played. I know an Orion type game with a million or more planets to colonize. It is very speadsheety like the old sims. You can research tech in a very complicated way and build spaceships from 100 or so components giving more than a thousand of possibilities. It is a 4x like Enders game.

Is it a 4x like master of orion ? :p
Edit : I mean colonizing other planets and exploring.
Homeworld for best space game. I saw many ads when it was released but I find space based games boring.
