Your id brings you to Warlight. Your superego reminds you to do more important things with your time. You could spend time with friends or family, read a book, work more, do chores around the house, exercise more, go outside and just do something. Your id supercedes your superego and comes here to create an alter ego. It doesn't have to be this way.

When people "figure themselves out" and then applaud themselves for their "brutal self-honesty", you can be sure it is the work of the ego, defending itself from change. The easiest way for a self-aware person to protect himself from changing his destructive habits is to "figure out" something that is actually correct so that he stops there and doesn't go any further, which is also the problem with most therapies. "I'm learning a lot about myself and my motivations." No you're not. "Figuring yourself out" not only fails, but is the defense itself. Stop doing it.
