I don't like it when people censor the entirety of their own posts either,
as I am a pretty good judge of character, and if someone is full of it,

I'll figure it out, and if they have a point, but they are still half full of it,
I'll figure that out too.

As for your generous offer, I'm always interested in learning from top players,
especially as I just got schooled in a small earth round-robin tourney...
( There were so many games that I felt the need to rush, even though it really wasn't necessary...)

But yeah, I know that I have a lot to learn about the game.

I'm in 5 at the moment, and that's a lot for me. :P

lol, well I'm not a top player :P But I always enjoy talking about tactics, and Small earth is one of my favourite maps, I just joined that league, I should have joined when it started really, but I felt like that template is too luck based. Figured what the hey, lets have some fun...

If you want to have a game just invite me, or if I'm online I'll be in the Warlight chatroom :)

It's good to try not to rush games, I know sometimes you can feel pressure but I think honestly most players don't really mind how long multiday games take, so long as you're not just waiting for the max amount of time each time on purpose.

Edit: Oh wait, you're leaving the league? Why? It'll reshuffle and you'll be put in a league closer to your level, so should be more balanced for you this time.

in fact I think this has been raised before with the "SunGod" incident. If a new player joins warlight, plays that particular game and is like "wtf dis is crap" then we might lose a potential player.

Sun God is cheating in that he set up rigged games to give him tremendous advantages to guarantee wins. I'm fine if those games are automatically set as practice, but the system is bugged and let people set games with custom scenarios (the heaven of rigged games) as ranked.

This game does not give the host any advantage. She just knows how to play moves correctly, but if more than one player knows it, the game will end up in a stalemate.

There are auto games. It might be a good idea to sticky them so those games are shown first to the new players.

I honestly don't think a new player is going to even notice the difference between a practise and a ranked game, and I'm not sure how it would make a difference to them if they were going to lose anyway. I still think my point stands though, they would most likely just try a different match, or leave because they weren't interested in the game anyway.
