I am playing Warlight since 2012. I had a small break, and 2 weeks ago I decided to make a comeback to this game. Now I am looking for a clan, which is able to learn me a couple of new tactics. Also I'd like to learn how to cooperate in constant team, I played team games only occasionally.


Completed 517 ranked games (261 / 517)
1v1: 149 / 247 (60%)
3 player FFA: 15 / 28 (54%)
4 player FFA: 61 / 107 (57%)
2v2: 18 / 31 (58%)
2v2v2: 3 / 6 (50%)
3v3: 4 / 19 (21%)

Look at the Clans list and talk to a few clan leaders. You really shouldn't put up your request on the forums.

USSR clan is open for you. We need good players for 1v1 tournaments.

Genghis, this is the Clans forum. I don't see why so many people take issue with "Looking for a clan" thread on the Clans forum.

I mean, just looking at the Mongols page tells you why people want more information than they can get from a Clan Page.

@OP: Try to answer the following questions before you pick a clan:

- what do you want to gain from a clan?

- what types of games do you prefer?

- what sort of players do you prefer being around?

What is the reputation of the clan you are joining? (Avoid Colonel H aka Mongols, Poon Squad, ect.)

Poonsquad is always fun and active.

Knyte i just gave the solution to the problem : talk to clan leaders.

Mongols clan clearly denotes me as leader. Contactme for information. People don't need these things spoonfed.

So only seek out clan leaders as sources? That's a rather limited approach and one that's likely to give you inaccurate data as there are some clan leaders that love promoting misperceptions about their clan and others and as clan leaders generally don't have the breadth of information you would receive by talking to the average member. At the very least, this thread helps the OP ensure that they're not missing some critical information- for example, you likely would not have brought up the Colonel issue and probably (like any clan leader) painted a little bit of a rosy picture of your clan. Members, ex-members, and players in the community at large can offer quite a bit of valuable information.

There's also the issue of repeated information. I, for one, would have some very specific things I would seek in a clan. I could PM a few clan leaders (and have to narrow down my list without really having enough information) with the same somewhat lengthy message, so they all receive the same information. But their responses wouldn't create the same sort of extensive dialogue that would occur on a thread like this, making me potentially miss the best option.

In any case, you could propose some alternative communication medium for virtually everything that occurs on this forum. For example, instead of trying to make yourself look cool by giving flawed advice that only clutters the threads and does a disservice to the OP, you could simply PM the OP and tell them how you feel about people using the Clans forum the way it was probably intended to be.

Ironically the biggest clutter in these threads is people like you coming in to give advice that wasn't asked for and making it tougher for the OP to get the information they want instead of your personal opinion on how the forums should operate.

How about a single thread for clan request ? When request is fulfilled, you make a single blank post to start new discussion.

That advice was so important Volsung had to post it twice, but yeah at the time I posted it FK was inactive for a few days, but now he's seemingly disappeared from the WL radar.
