I will be listing my opinion of the top strategic clans on warlight.

NOW FOR Master Turtle's TOP CLANS!!! (2015 edition)
There is a lot to say about these clans so I will write what stands out the most for me.

1. Apex --> On the Rise!
Apex is a fairly old clan (well before WL 2.0) and has always been an elitist clan. They are my top clan because: They've taken 1st place in Clan League's 5 and 6. (Tied for 1st in #2). AND since the last rankings, Luxis a very skilled and experienced warlighter has come out of retirement. Timinator one of the most dreaded 1v1 opponents has joined. Master of the Dead, a very well rounded, talented individual who is proving himself a champion on these past few seasonals, 2nd place on 1v1 ladder currently and a top place on the real time ladder has joined.

2. |GG| --> On the Rise!
|GG| is very close to Apex in terms of skill. They are one of the larger elite clans with 17 members which gives their clan league roster lots of depth. They have consistently had many players take 1st on the realtime ladder, top 10 on the seasonal, and done suprisingly well in Clan League. It is important to point out the addition of Latnox (1v1 ladder record holder AND may be the 1st player to take 1st on every ladder with 1 account, sorry Gnuffone.) They also picked up Muten Roshi, many of you have not heard of him but he is a very solid 1v1 player and was the champion over Master of the Dead's real time ladder CLOT. Their member Orange also held the 1v1 Flyweight Belt and is the true legend with 39 consecutive wins! GG is also one of the oldest clans on warlight, they are the offspring of Relite!

3. WG --> On the Rise!
Warlight Gods has always been a dominant force in clan league. Their clan ranks have changed often too. To start off I'll say that Nich and marc2013 have both retired from warlight which hurt them. HOWEVER, WM Gnuffone, Falker, and Oh Noes have been recruited. Gnuffone is one of warlight's greatest all time players. He has taken a golden trophy from every ladder (using multiple accounts) and is the king of 3v3 EU. Falker is an old WM member.... I don't know much about him. Oh Noes is an up and coming player, he has already reached a high skill level and I don't think he has peaked yet. He was a very good recruit that came out of [XS]. WG struggled with some boots this clan league and snagged 3rd place and they have been podium finishers for many seasons. I'd like to point out that Summer, Tenshi, and Verzerher have been dominate players on the seasonal ladders, and 1v1 ladder in recent months.

4. [20] --> On the Decline.
I might get some disagreement's here but thats fine. [20] is my #4 clan. It was originally a league and still is, the clan is just a filament of it. [20] used to have [20] members and for various reasons it collapsed. It is currently under construction. Each of its members has been on warlight for years, regardless of ladder stats they could probably whoop our but's at most templates. Noticeably, Dead Piggy and HHH have rejoined the clan and I hope it is being rebuilt. Szeweningen and Odin are the most reknown players in the clan for outstanding performances and great community services. Special thanks to Qi for starting it all up.

5. Lynx --> No change.
This was a tough choice for me but I will go against my Bias here and choose Lynx. Lynx is another old clan. Originally it was {101st} with its elite branch named Lynx, however with the warlight 2.0 update they split into 2 separate clans. They have 21 members (19 are active). This gives them lots of depth for a clan league roster. In the past few clan leagues every player competed. They have had mixed ladder success. Darkpie, Kantos, and Dom365 have been their forerunners and done well on the 1v1 ladder. They have lost No Mercy but were also able to recruit Andy903 (a well rounded realtime ladder champion). They have just made it back to Group A for clan league so I will be very curious to see how they do.

6. Master Clan --> On the Rise!
As of The 6th Clan League, they have recruited myself and Pushover. Master Bjarke has returned from an extended vacation, Master of Deseaster has returned from the Military, and Master Arc has come back from hiatus. We have all our star players back and a few new players. Since clan league 6 we have set the 2v2 winstreak record, had MotD take 2nd/3rd on 2 of the last three seasonal ladders, Master of deseasater has smashed the 1v1 ladder like no one since The Impaller, we've had constant success on the 1v1 ladder and real time ladder. We've won 4 of the last 5 WGL tournaments. (3 by MoD and 1 by Pushover). All in all, we are now one of the most active elitist clans and are aiming for the top of this list.

7. Blitz --> On the Rise!
Blitz manages to recruit players that a lot of us have never heard of. KKND is perhaps one of the most underrated players I've played. He's well rounded, talented, and still improving. Many, many of their recruits are like that: Grosshandlaren, mebejorbod, The Black Hand, linberson, and gadttar. Those are just their "no names". They also have players like Jefferspin, #QB#, RPA, and Bannanashake. Those are some long time top players with success in and outside of the ladders. They have also recently obtained Quicksand (HHH) who is a player all players should recognize as an elite opponent. Their performance in Clan League has been very impressive and will not be surprised to see them as a solid Group A clan.
8. [XS] --> On the Rise!

9. French Community --> No Change.

10. Ahol --> Sobering up?

11. The Official Clan of Warlighters --> Lots of Change but not a 'rating change'.

12. V.I.W. --> Slight decline.

13. The Icelandic Turtles --> On a sharp Rise! (total rebuild)

14. Stahlgewittern --> No clue.

15. M'Hunters --> On the Rise!

16. REGL --> No Change.

17. ILLUMINATI ▲ --> On the Rise!

18. BIA --> No Change.

19. {101st} --> On a slight Rise.

20. The Juggernaut's Clan --> On the Rise!

Honorable mentions to: VS, Statisticians, [BR] FUDEW, AWF, FBG, SNinja, The Ohms, The Warlight Staff, WM, Divided We Fall, Lu Fredd, Tranquility, Incognito, Yin-Yang,The League of Erroneous Aspirations (LEA), and {Olympus}!

Please give your thoughts on my list, give me your own list, but most importantly remember that these are ALL OPINIONS and should be treated as such. This list is not meant to be offensive nor constructive. Just take it as some random dude's ramblings and I hope you enjoy it.

I was honestly surprised to see The Juggernauts Clan listed as number 20.

Everyone else is pretty what it would seem like

Most of the honorable mentions would be ranked higher; however, there is either too few players (The Warlight Staff) or not enough clan vs clan (staticticians) or it is a new clan to be able to be ranked (VS).

I think AWF is a reasonable 21st on the rise.

Once I get write ups done I will look at ALL of the clans and some players. I will shuffle around some clans and make a top 30 list.

Pretty fair analysis so far. On the other thread I forgot to mention Master being tied with Lynx and Blitz as well under [20]. Luxis has been on and off, but plays realtime if you can catch him on.

A lot of the honorable mention clans are better than yours. BUT some of them are new like VS. Some of them just don't do clan vs clan stuff like statisticians, Yin-Yang, and Incognito. So those clans would definitly be higher than you. BR FUDEW and Warlight Staff are probably ahead of you but WL Staff has 2 players...... SO I can't really count them and BR FUDEW has had some players retire and I have no clue if there leader is still around due to health issues.

So what attracted me to yall was all your jabbering in the clan forums about challenging this clan to such and such. Also Smileyleg is pretty badass. Des, eklipse, and you are alright from what i've seen but i'm judging the clan more than the individuals...

Does this make sense? You might not have been been better than the other clans but you were more qualified for a rank?


I really can 't wait for clan league to come around so I can see how accurate I am. I would love all of these clans to prove me wrong. Especially the lower ranked clans and my affiliate clans.

I would like to clarify, when you say "I will be listing my opinion of the top strategic clans on warlight" you are taking all clans, and then rating them by how good the players in them are, correct?

^I was going to ask the same. (Because in my eyes it looks like you have used some other criterias. Oh, and also when ranking how good the players are, do you estimate the average, or do like a top 5 from each clan?)

Also I think that you are being a bit harsh on yourself, as in my opinion Master is slightly better than Lynx. However as mentioned by yourself it could be viewed that you are being biased towards yourself.

I mean the post was made by Master Turtle, and if I recall correctly MoD was banned in CL6. Master Turtle said that he is obviously bias like all people are.

So how are we rating these clans? If it is enjoyment of members, it will be almost impossible to rate the clans. If we are ranking them purely on skill, then how is 20 not first by a long shot? No one can compete with them on team games. Even with just players that are active, 20 is the most skilled. If we are rating clans by activity, kynte has already done this.

Also, you can't compare a clan with very few members to a clan with many members unless you take only the top members of the bigger clan and compare that to all the members of the smaller clan. Like if we are comparing GG and Apex, Apex has only 8 active members exclusively in Apex. So we should take the top 8 of GG to compare.

Essentially, I'm saying this kind of rating clans has no point and is worthless. There has to be some kind of numbers involved like in knyte's rankings. I used to be a big advocate of this kind of ranking but it just doesn't have any basis and is 100% opinionated.
