Since I am probably not the only person to visit other clan pages often then I bet that others have picked up on this. Many clan pages tell you absolutely nothing about the clan. Instead they are full of all this garbage like titles, complicated government setup, long winded speeches, pep talks and narcissistic rants.

I used to just gloss over this crap but now that I am actually checking out clans for the clan league it is getting really annoying. Lucky for me, I already know plenty of clans and what they are for but newcomers don't have any knowledge of most clans they would work well in. It is just a bunch of bs and I can't tell whether it is a social, competitive, team based, lvl based, ladder based, or just a clan were everybody sits around and talks about how great they are (im looking at you darklords).

This isn't about the elite clans or even some of the competitve ones. This is about clans that have no discernible purpose. So just an fyi. If you were planning on even recruiting one person on your clan page and it turns out you just have a bunch of the aforementioned garbage and no actual facts then nobody is going to even know if they like you or not.

The only assumption that passerbys can make is that your clan HAS NO purpose and that it is merely a waste of our time to even consider pming anybody about joining.

tldr: Clan managers, get some real information about the purpose of your clan (a mission statement would be good) on your clan page instead of all this useless crap you have on it now.

WM and the elite clans are fine. It is clans like Juggernaut clan that have a whole paragraph of clan history and then two sentences that gloss over their actual purpose. Yugoslavia and wolfpack clans are the worst.

Im trying to help you guys, the clan owners to get more members. Is it that hard just to tell us your purpose?

I don't think a full rant was really necessary. We have noticed this, and it was largely because the clan didn't have a purpose (though it was supplemented by the primary language of the clan leader not being English). We are currently working through defining what the clan is supposed to be, and do.

I find your rant to be rather inappropriate though. If a clan wants to provide useless information, or waste the space with garbage, that is their business. It is, fundamentally, where they represent themselves to the public. If you do not like it, then it is more intelligent for you to ignore the page, and not revisit it, then to rage and continue returning.

TL;DR: None. Read it.

I mean, you only need one line Cruelest, it's not that important. I agree with Cat, this wasn't a necessary post. It's their business whether they want information on their page or not.

I strongly agree that the vast majority of clan pages seem to be much more focused on ridiculous ranks (many of which are military or medieval themed) and elaborate "governments" than actually saying what they're all about and what they can offer members. But yeah your lengthy rant was somewhat uncalled for since it is up to the clans' managers what they wanna put out.

Agreed but if you fall into the trap of joining them clans it's your own fault because top tier clans won't post on the forum to gain players or even post things like you've explained on there clan page. Instead they'll mail you or likely challenge you to play against a few of there leaders, so it does come down to what clan you are after. How serious you want to play what type of game play The Cruelest, Team player, 1v1 strategy, Real-Time or even multiday. My opinion if you want to become a better player simple ask for some tips off other players with high skill level and 99% of the time they will help you, check history of turns check settings and also analize a move before attacking. Corp is a great pick good luck.

How about pages for clans ? Like a site where each clan has his section and can do anything. The top.managers will help with aesthetics and design.
