I like how Kapy assumes his opinions reflect "most" of warlight when in reality out if the hundreds of players I've played with only 10-20 seem to have negative opinions of our clan. But that's besides the point.

You say people will leave our clan page after seeing our page/description, and you know what? That's fine. Just as WG doesn't want to bring in players whose 1v1 percentage isn't very high, we don't really think a player who's not gonna enjoy our sense of humor will be a good fit anyway. Our page does a pretty good job of portraying us. Pooncrew and I get messages just about every day with people asking to join.

Regarding Pooncrew returning to the Darklordz: During that time, he was still in the clan chat, still making squad games, and still involved in Poon Squad decisions. It's called gathering Intel bozo. Everyone in the clan was made aware of his plans and it did nothing to lessen our unity.

And by the way, most of our game names get complimented by total strangers. Can't count the number of times I've had someone tell me they joined one of my games because they liked the name. Never had anyone, outside of a few people in forums, tell me anything negative about any game names we've had.

But nope, all that stuff, being one of the most active clans in the game, playing games that all participants seem to enjoy, plus constantly working to help each other improve? Guess none of that matters if I'm understanding Kapy correctly. All that matters is that we do things differently amd have a laid back attitude so we must be the worst people on earth.

PS Banana thanks for the fair rating. We're always looking for ways to improve and it's cool to see where those areas of potential improvement are from an outsider's perspective. Although at this point reputation is kind of a wash

Kapy is just a troll, Im not gonna bother anymore. Poon Squad is a legitimate clan on Warlight, knytes ratings proved that. Chris cum does a lot for the community but hes obsessed with the ladders. Also, I've created plenty of games and tournaments for clans and the community to play in, so for someone to say I do nothing for the community kind of hurts.

What knyte's ratings proved is that Poon Squad does is very active, but isn't that good at strategic teamplay, and that's ok if you had something else to fall back on (sexual themes, I guess), but you call games with rules "jabroni" games.

You don't send a manager to spy in a clan that sends invites to everybody.

That's called poor statistic sample. The folk who do join your disgustingly named games most likely like the name to some extent, the majority that don't like it don't want anything to do with you or your clan, maybe blacklist you.

A clanpage is not meant to repulse as Poon Squad's does. I understand if you don't want those players, but, these players aren't going to think of you well.

And they will think better of your clan when it seems their main spokesman is a narrow minded bigot?
I think we will take our chances on that one

Xy might have huge bias, is very close minded and lacks great variety in opinions, but he is certainly intelligent, informed and aware. It's more than i could say of the Poon Squad clan as a whole.

After reading this thread I've come to the conclusion that Poon Crew may be a bit purile, but probably fun to play with as a casual gamer who still likes to do well and play frequently.

After Dark, on the other hand, I'll never join since holy fuck that guy is a massive douche. And he's a leader of the clan?!

I made the unbiased (okay) and biased (with a bias that most share) (god-awful) rating. So explain how I am bigot and narrow-minded, seeing as how you are using more insults right now.

Not far off the point, righting:

I've come to the conclusion that Poon Squad may be pretty crude, but maybe fun to play with as a casual gamer who has loads of times on his hands.

After Dark, on the other hand, I'll never join since holy fuck that guy is a massive douche. And he's a leader of the clan?!

Explain how I am "massive douche", I have given feedback and the (mostly solvable) problems that cause my poor rating.

Hey man, you're entitled to your own opinions and stuff. If you don't like us, then you don't like us; it's not the end of the world. However, if simple vulgarity and innuendo offends you to the point that you have to argue about how bad of people we are on the forums, you may need to take a second and chill.

You're a massive douche because you think that just because you don't like them, no one does, and just because you find their humour juvenile that they shouldn't be allowed to have it. There are myriad other reasons why you come across as a douche. Like with most things, it's buried in the subtleties and details. It's like asking "why is that painting a masterpiece and that one's garbage?"

As for "massive amounts of time on their hands", I'm in about 20 games at a time. I'll usually take my turns within a few hours, but sometimes I need all day. 1d 10h boot times are a little tough for me, but I can usually make the time.

I have very little free time. I'm a software engineering manager with two children and a house under renovation where the general contractor disappeared so I'm having to act as my own general to get the reno finished. My wife just had surgery with several tumours removed, so I'm caring for the house and kids in addition to everything else.

It's all a question of whether you're willing to make the time. If you're not, don't join the 1d 10h games or the Poon Squad. No one ever claimed they were perfect for everyone. The fact that their schedule doesn't work for many doesn't mean that they're wrong to have it.

I love how a Poon Squad member is talking about Maturity in a clan that was made to be immature children.... I don't think they understand their own clans "values" :D

Edit: Ameter I wouldn't go around backing up the "Douche" point when you've just admitted you've got a recovering wife and 2 children yet sometimes you spend an entire day playing warlight....

Seems sir that you are quite the douche yourself.

I can't honestly say whether Xy's views are of the majority or not, but he speaks for more people than he's being given credit for. The thing is, the majority of users who have a problem with the Poon Squad no longer bother trying to argue about it. They'll defend their vulgar humor and ruthless booting (Believe it or not it's the second thing I have a larger issue with) until the end and nothing you say to them will change anything.

When the Poon Squad first arrived their was a huge outcry, and a lot of people spoke out against them. It's been a long time though and most people now either tolerate the Poons or ignore them all together.

ruthless booting

What? People willingly join our games with 1 day boot rate, and even then players have bank time.

Yes, I'm just telling you why I am giving your clan the low rating it has. Folk get triggered to easily around here, though.

You're a massive douche because you think that just because you don't like them, no one does, and just because you find their humour juvenile that they shouldn't be allowed to have it. There are myriad other reasons why you come across as a douche. Like with most things, it's buried in the subtleties and details. Well, I think that I am being considerably less implied insults than indibob here, but be free to point out the details. I don't understand your last frain, there are clear themes and ways in which a painting is a great work and why it isn't.

As for "massive amounts of time on their hands", I'm in about 20 games at a time. I'll usually take my turns within a few hours, but sometimes I need all day. 1d 10h boot times are a little tough for me, but I can usually make the time.

So you say yourself, that you do have tough to make time.

It's all a question of whether you're willing to make the time. If you're not, don't join the 1d 10h games or the Poon Squad. No one ever claimed they were perfect for everyone. The fact that their schedule doesn't work for many doesn't mean that they're wrong to have it.

What? People willingly join our games with 8h strict bootime.

The rating given originally (on first post) to the Poon Squad is 8/10. This means that the clan should appeal to ~80% of folk. It's nowhere near that. That is what I am arguing. Also, apparently noone has read my post on what I think of joining unfair bootime games. TLDR: Whoever joined the games, it's their fault, but the games' makers are arse.
