Gonna be disagreed with here but I'm gonna come out and say nuclear is the way to go. How else will I build my wonderful nukes?
On a serious note I still think nuclear is the way to go. It has become progressively safer over the years. Not to mention the power that can be harnessed. A chunk of uranium the size of your fist will power an aircraft carrier for two or more decades. It pays for itself as well. Although there are some 'cleaner' forms of energy like solar or wind, those will take far longer to pay themselves off. Also the sun isn't always out and it isn't always windy. Not to mention upkeep costs. Nuclear is also the most developed alternative energy mankind has. All my opinion of course.
Yeah nuclear really is the best for now with renewable being as inefficient as it is (solar panels are okay but windmills are a sham considering all the steel make from coke in them and the rare earth metals in the generators). Although in 100 years I would expect advanced solar power or fusion to be taking/took over.
Also nuclear really is 100% safe as long as private company's are not penny pinching and corrupt.
That being said poor Ouchi. The paper saying "Please mommy" must have been haunting.
