Statisticians in my opinion is the coolest clan in Warlight. Math Wolf and Yeon are very often in the ladders, they do some statistic experiments (remember when Math Wolf tore skunk940 and Ninjanic apart for being "the best mappers"? They should do that study again.) and present their relevant finds to the forum. Math Wolf has very good writing skills, in my opinion, as well.

x=statisticians
y=tlw

x=y^29*1000/0,0001

Lol Riku I knew the entire time you were Ienzo. Your name was formatted the same way, and there aren't that many people in Tennessee.

I think you fail to understand that there was no reason to expend any effort trying to get you to out yourself.

We used alts to get information that we could use to compare ourselves to other clans (for example, Firehawk helped us benchmark ourselves against AWF, The Cruelest helped us try to grow the same way M'Hunters had, etc.). Someone from TLW wouldn't be able to offer that information- it would be like trying to build a rocket by observing a trainwreck.

On top of that, you weren't a contender for MR or anything risky (if you recall, I pestered you quite a bit about starting a dojo- that was to make sure you had no intention of leadership).

So no effort expended in your general direction, because it turns out there's a lot of things (even on this site) that are more important than you.

EDIT: also, apparently you don't understand basic algebra and the fact that variable assignments are arbitrary

Knyte... I. Don't. Care.

Also, I do not think it matters if I know anything about algebra here.

lol, knyte. M Hunter's growth really wasn't that complicated. They just hosted a bunch of ror games and when they came across a good player then they added him/her.

If you were more arithmetically adept, you could have taken the opportunity to say that tlw=-5 or some number like that, then Statisticians would be very considerably lower than tlw.

Too late now.

@TC: I'm not talking about growth in terms of members. MH seriously outstripped CORP in its ability to help members develop. Personally I was never interested in adding more people as much as making our existing playerbase more able to improve.

First: I honestly think the problems with TLW, Darklords, and most other clans that don't autoremove all inactive players is that those players ruin their reputation by dragging down the clan average skill.

Second: clan reputation is generally based on the average player, giving a clan with a large membership that isn't very selective a difficult time acquiring a good reputation. If the true goal of clans' is to develop a player into a better warlight player(strategically, as diplo and RP clans don't have great reputations due to their lack of strategic players that make the top of ladders), we should focus on a clan's development process and who is incharge of it.

Third: Any clan that just improves players in any way is a good clan, but I also believe that having a good social interaction through a large number of players that partially work together and play together is good for the community, as those players will be more willing to return.

Lastly:these unselective clans allow people to join together with their friends, encouraging them to return to the game and grow the community.

Do not judge a clan on their logo alone.

the Darklords have not failed as a clan because there goal was to get as many members as possible, which they have done extremely well and succeeded at.
