Most of us have heard/seen these stereotypes in action. Some of us lived under them. But which is truly the more dreadful? The guilt-wielding Jewish mother, who insists you eat that last bit of kugel, or the Chinese Mother (or Tiger Mom), forcing their children at success or nothing?




Note: I do not hate either kind of these, but their parenting styles seem both equally successful and infamous. If you have lived under one of these, your input is useful. And if you can think of another parenting stereotype, please add so below.

Back in 1970 The Chinese Economy wasn't great with inflation and massive unemployment many people didn't have money.

Than a dictator-ship came.

It massively changed the school system.

Parents have become known to be pushy as they have came from poverty.. Wanting the best for their children wanting the best as they never had a good childhood/future.

This is where we have our generalisation from quickly developing countries..

Chinese mother is stricter, unless the Jewish mother is a traditionalist, in which case the Jewish mother is stricter.

I'm sorry Ox. On the internet, its hard to tell the SJW fanatics from the sarcastic people.

And martian, we're talking about the smothering guilt-using ones. Although the other one isn't a bad idea.

I'd take the chinese mother. I'd rather have somebody who would push me to my limits just so I can succeed. I don't want somebody who would hold guilt to me. I wouldn't be able to stand that ridiculousness.
