Too many of these lists are being made by Americans.
1. America sticks its nose in all sorts of international problems which it stays in too long or doesn't belong
2. The Westboro Baptist Church. That's what some people think US Christians are like
3. Our lack of a unified culture (America's mostly a melting pot)
4. Our number of shootings and pride of our guns
5. It took the United States this long to legalize gay marriage
6. The ideals that the US is the center of World History (like when Americans take all the credit for winning WWII, despite the fact that many more French, British, and millions of Soviets died compared to the US death toll)
7. The need for other countries to make stuff for us
8. The US's view on sex and violence
9. The Us sometimes stereotyping other countries
10. Our inefficient government system
1. Yes, it is the most active superpower and does get some hate from that, especially from the countries it is "intervening".
2. Noone's heard of the Westboro Baptist Church. More heard of: In Chile, abortion is illegal in all cases, lethal birth included. I don't hate Chile, too much, though, nor do most folk.
3. Not grounds for hatred or dislike.
4. Yes, these are both valid.
5. No (like someone said before me,
no standard). It gets more hate for legalising gay marriage.
6. Yes.
7. No? The other countries get domestic jobs and put America in further weakness?
8. I don't know what the view is, so folk don't hate it.
9. Stereotyping is not a problem, in my opinion, just general historic knowledge lack.
10. Why should I care about inefficient government system in some faraway country?
reasons i hate US
it hates any other country that becomes a super power
it tells lies to the whole world
it doesn't care about any of their 'allies' they only care about themselves
Us citizens are EXTREMELY racist
US citizens think all Muslims are terrorists
US is full of pride
they take credit for everything even when they didn't do anything (WW2 they don't deserve that much credit)
they make everyone else look bad by telling lies through media
they kill millions of innocent people but say they're peaceful
they make good country's like Russia and China look bad when they are the real threat to the entire world
they don't respect anyone else's culture
they think they are the most supreme
they make serials movies etc that show other country's as villains
and alot of other stuff too
Finally, someone nonAmerican making a list. Anyhow, yes, it does target the most powerful nonallied countries. It does lie (what country doesn't?). Its allies are tools (like for most countries with such a power gap in between). I don't think that most Americans are "extremely" racist or think that all Muslims are terrorists. Yes, I'd consider America the second most patriotic country in the world, only seconded by Vatican. In the 2nd World War, they did not help too much in Europe (yes, they do exaggerate their effects in Europe greatly), they did certainly help out in the Pacific War. They deserve a bit of credit, they lost the second greatest troop amount on the Allied side. Their media is lying just as every other one is. Russia and China certainly are not "good", and China is the real threat to the world. I think they respect culture, there is big arrogance, though. Their cinema is greatly government-influenced, that is true.
I disagree with your list.
A good indicator for how developed a country is the HDI (Human Development Index)
I don't agree that HDI is a good indicator. For example, Japan has one of the longest life expectancies in the world, but 1/3 of the folk smoke, that won't work in other populations. Education makes the folk smarter, it doesn't make living there better or worse. +This same education index rated America 5th best education, from that schooling thread Genghis made, I do not think this is the case. Per capita income matters how expensive the things are going to be. If given choice between buying a book that costs 100.000¥ and everyone has 50.000¥, or cost is 50.000¥ and everyone has 40.000¥, which would you choose? HDI does not even claim to tell how good a country is to live in, just how much it's progressing.
1. They've decided that they have the most freedom of anyone because they shout it as they suppress people.
2. The Christian right.
3. Idiotic gun policy.
4. Bush.
5. Reagan.
6. Completely blind to the rampant racism, as shown by previous comments.
7. Sexism, only the US and Papua New Guinea have 0 weeks maternity leave.
8. Thinking that bombing someone will give them freedom.
9 Weeping in the streets over 3,000 innocent deaths, ignoring the fact that over 1 million innocent Iraqi's died as a result of US attacks.
10. Islamophobia. Both the US and Al Queada have killed more Muslims in Iraq, Libya and Afghanistan than Muslims have killed in all of the West combined.
11. Numbers 9, but Vietnam.
12. Number 9, but WW2...more Russians died than all other deaths from all other countries, civilian and military combined.
13. 50 year long dick measuring competition with USSR that nearly killed everyone (50% of the blame goes to the USSR).
14. Your food. Sprayable cheese? Fuck no.
I say this is most accurate list so far.
1. Yes, see American Empire's post.
2. No, because I don't know what they're doing, since they're not putting it into government.
3. Does not affect me.
4. Yes.
5. Why? I don't see grounds to hate.
6. Do not see this.
7. This is not sexism, this is just awfully planned/never modernised.
8. Yes.
9. Yes.
10. Yes.
11. Yes.
12. Yes.
13. Yes, but later China, Israel, India and Pakistan joined in.
14. I kind of want to try sprayable cheese.
So some poor farmer wants a rifle to stop 'Government death robots.'
Lets go through the stupid:
1. Farmers here can apply for a simple a rifle, if the have convictions of violence or mental illnesses they don't get one, most people don't so they can get one.
2. Handguns that you can easily smuggle into schools are not necessary. We banned them.
3. Machine guns are not rifles. You do not need them. We banned them.
4. If the US government decided to kill all Americans...or something, I don't understand your fear on this one, then they would use the US army. Highly trained soldiers and 'death robots' would easily stop your random farmer.
5. If the US army stayed faithful to the ideals of the people, and we can assume it would, then you don't need guns because the military would now be pointing its guns at Congress and would be in control of the 'death robots.'
1. Government can forge your violence/mental illness.
2. What classifies "easily smuggable"? Did Spain ban all handguns?
3. That's just less "defence".
4. Yes, this is true, but these farmers want to go out not complying.
5. We can't assume it would at all. Because it's not pointing it's guns at the government.
