I would just like to ask why you believe that people who believe that there is a life after this one, and that God will judge people and that everything happens with the will of God, why on earth they would need democracy?
Getúlio Vargas. He's a man too unknown beyond South America. He led Brazil 1930-1945 and again 1951-1954. He knew full well that democracy was dead. He saw the countries go to oligarchies, right in the 1930s, he saw: Democracy is dead. Too right. He saw the unruled militarism many countries were going through, from Germany to America. He saw how republics became nominal republics. Why should he try to uphold democracy in a world where there is little? He saw the answer as to just take full control of the country and improve it as best he could. He supported reaping and building industry like skycutters, he supported a strong internal government. He worked for the folk - the poor got a good social welfare programme, and he listened to what the folk were saying, in the newspapers, on the streets and petitions. Don't worry, he was very anti-communist, he kept things generally centre-left. Autocracy, yes, it was, and well known that it was, but who cared? This mate was great.
I have no idea where I was leading with this, point: democracy is dead (but read more about Vargas).
Also, 'Jihadist Extremism' should be a term thought of together. Jihad itself directly translates into English as 'struggle' and has no allusion to "unbelievers". The religious obligation of Muslims to engage in Jihad when certain conditions have been met under Islamic law, has been distorted and hijacked by some devilish dogs who try to play on youthful minds to get them to commit atrocious acts in the name of Islam for personal satisfaction and personal gain.
I'd dislike being considered pedantic, but I might be.
Extremism: The holding of extreme political or religious views; fanaticism.I think you mean Violent (Extremist) Jihad.
Renegades against a Muslim ruler are liable for capital punishment. The murder of a single Muslim is punishable by capital punishment and of a non-Muslim by corporal punishment.
Yes, Arab countries do not promote religious or gender equality, in general.
Anyhow, thank you for a kind reply, I have always thought about what you say and why say the way you do, trying to come up with logic answer.
