Sorry guys, I had no idea this terrible occurrence had occurred. I was too busy playing the game.
Let me just say that Semicedevine would not do anything to compromise CORP unless there were elements within the clan that were doing something to provoke such a reaction. I do not believe CORP members have had any dealings with the Wolves except for CopperTitanium who still has his tag.
Secondly, Semicedevine is the only player from South Carolina, so anybody from that state involved in clan activity such as this is very likely to be him, even if he was not directly responsible.
Lastly, I understand the fustration you people must be feeling at the moment. I have experienced first-hand two coups during my time at The Royal Falcons. One external by Michael and Semice, and one internal by some factions within the Falcons I find it inappropriate to name.
Despite what happened, I am now happy. I have got on with the game, improved my skills and find greater satisfaction playing WarLight. I am now two levels away from unlocking Custom Scenarios, which I believe I would not have achieved if I had remained a member of the Falcons.
All I'm saying is put this all behind you, and turn it into a positive for the community, the game and you as a player. Good day.

Semice: I think we're operating on different definitions of stability. The instability I'm worried about is the disruption of day-to-day operations rather than significant change (which I think personally is good for a clan). I'm personally a lot more interested in minimizing the disruption of day-to-day operations (via coup or something else) than I am in minimizing/maximizing change.

@knyte- u have get booted and left our whole team in mid-game stating that u are sorry but u dont have time to play - as I supposed this was just a cheap excuse since it is obvius that u have a lot of time to write posts in here. It is PATHETIC.

sorry for offtopic

I don't have time to take turns in every game I'm in. I'm on a 10 day vacation for a reason.

I've also lost interest in the game- I don't see any reason why I have an obligation to spend my time on something that doesn't ultimately matter when I don't gain any enjoyment from it.

Your team doesn't matter? That's not a good attitude to have.

knyte, just out of curiosity, if you've lost all interest in the game then why are you still posting here?

After all, you were usually the one who told people to stop posting in the forums and play the actual game.

I've quit playing Warlight 3-4 times (I always come back this game is like crack) and two or three times ago, CORP was involved in some major drama as it took in UnlimitedLawlz, who had a habit of causing drama (albeit perhaps unintentionally). This was the first time that I, or much of the Warlight community, had ever heard of CORP iirc. So to state that your clan has never tried to start drama, when the primary reason for its popularity is that it was willing to seek out drama, is laughable.

I've been prioritizing team games. That said, I've got something IRL that makes it a bit stressful to try and maintain playing on this game and I don't want to establish any new long-term obligations (like multi-day games, tournaments, or clan responsibilities). I'd tell you what the IRL thing is but it would be a bit personally identifying and kind of braggy.

knyte, just out of curiosity, if you've lost all interest in the game then why are you still posting here?

Because it amuses me. Because I still come to the site to play real-times but realize I don't have the time to maintain multi-day obligations at this stage.

After all, you were usually the one who told people to stop posting in the forums and play the actual game.

No le contrere. I'm just not on the forums to start drama a la Tyrion- all my discussion is still game- or metagame-related so I'm not quite responsible just yet for polluting OT. But I put a lot of effort into CORP so I'm still a bit invested in the clan, to be honest. That's mostly it. Oh and I feel a bit wasteful just quitting cold-turkey on a site I spent money on.

And I'm on a 10 day vacation so I can't take turns in any games without having to worry about all of them again.

Really, I log in every time without knowing whether I'll have time to log in again in the near future.

That said, if you think my presence is hurting the community, just let me know.

@Masterpierround: That CORP basically died out. CORP's modern reputation comes from around July/etc.

Oh, well the more you know. Although I'm sure the name recognition from the old CORP did help the new CORP. Not that it affects the fact that I was incorrect, but I maintain that past drama-seeking is a large reason for CORP's popularity.

Not really my job to say who should post in the forums and who shouldn't. As long as people aren't posting porn or being total jerks I usually don't care.

Well, I don't think name recognition from the old CORP helped at all. It just started popping up again after a lot of people left After_Dark and revived the clan. The two are basically separate entities, and most members of CORP right now aren't aware at all of old CORP.

CORP was basically unknown again until June 6, when it got hijacked in a coup after MR were spread among a lot of members with absolutely no background checking. After that, the clan completely reorganized itself and started recruiting strategic players (and entered Clan League)- we started getting attention by getting attacked on the forums (from Kapy) and by establishing internal ladders that allowed in a few external players (we had a working 3v3 ladder, actually, and that got the attention of Forbidden Knowledge and a few other good players). I basically ran CORP during June and July, and I can tell you that drama was the very last thing we cared for- we tried to minimize our image on the forums (focusing on damage control as we tried to wrap up June's drama and successfully covered up all evidence of a coup in July before it cost us anything- not even most of our own members knew about it). Instead, CORP during June-July was focused on delivering value to its members- I wanted to turn the clan into one with very high activity (with tons of diplos so people knew each other, mixed with a ton of strategy so players actually discovered the game and got good at it) and one where players got to improve quickly.

This template that I used to send PM clan invites (not spammy, just to be clear- I only invited players I found to be good after playing with them, and never sent an invite to a player without getting a link to a game where someone I trusted in the clan- usually me- played with them) gives a good idea of what CORP was trying to achieve:

Hey!

We recently played in a 1v1 ladder game. You were quite the tough opponent, the kind of person I'd rather have on my team than against it.

I'm sending you this message because I'm currently looking for good strategic players that are interested in joining (and hopefully competing for/within) CORP. Since you play pretty well strategically, I'm wondering whether you'd like to join CORP and also become part of CORP's internal strategic Dojo.

We're working very hard to build a strategic character as a clan and, to that end, we'll be joining Clan League 7- our first time in the Clan League. On top of that, we've got an internal 1v1/2v2/3v3 ladder system- the CORP Strategic League (http://tinyurl.com/csldata)- and regular Round Robins/FFAs/team games, both within and outside the clan, not to mention the new CORP Challenge League (http://tinyurl.com/corpcldata) where you can assert your dominance over a template. But the biggest challege is people. We need people like you to help our clan push forward- people who're willing to compete in regular games, play against other clans, and represent us in leagues and tournaments- and hopefully help other players grow stronger by playing against them. In exchange, we've also got a pretty solid track record in improving our players' skills through constant competitive play.

Interested? You'll find an invite waiting for you here: https://www.warlight.net/Clans/?ID=60

As far as what you'll gain if you join us:

- the ability to compete in our internal ladders (CORP Strategic League) and the CORP Challenge League

- regular Round Robins, FFAs, and team games across a variety of competitive teamplates

- active chat/forums and a community of people you can invite to games

- diplomacy/RP games if you're also interested in those

Thanks. I hope to see you in our Clan Forum soon.

I only commented there once, and I didn't see any exclusions before that. I also didn't try to derail it- I just popped in there to call him an idiot.

Also, I didn't notice this bit ,at first, since I'm used to reading sucky writing, but...

Si tu veux parler en français, bon, mais parle une langue, pas deux.

Anyhow, back to my main point, I'm not quite responsible just yet for polluting OT.

I and others would consider it pollution. I forgot who said this, but it goes something like "I don't know what happened here, whether knyte was too much an arse for the off-topic fora or whether the off-topic fora were too much of an arse for knyte, but one thing is for sure: knyte's an arse, too."

Four primary reasons why users post on the forums:
-They enjoy talking about the game.
-They enjoy a good laugh.
-They enjoy a good debate.
-They enjoy making people angry.
(Some people fit more than one description too)
