people might surrender because they have to take care of real life business, but they might be the actual responisble for the win. You should commend them for surrederign rather than forcing people to boot him

Let's say you are very close to win in 1v1 or FFA, but you decide to surrender because you have to take care of real life business. Do you get points because of this? No!
But it is a completely different story in a team game. Even if you get booted/surrender in the first turn, you still share points from other people who work hard to win.
Why is there such a difference? Is it fair to other people in other types of games?
It is just a game. Sometimes they have valid reasons. Life is more important. It is fine. But as far as the game goes, you don't get any points if you fail to complete it. Simple as that.
