This thread is intended to be suggestions about member benefits that do not change the game significantly and do not create an advantage in games or cut down on non-member privileges.

the two that I would like to propose are:
-have the "member indicator" next to your mane reflect the default color you chose to use in games
-give members priority in getting their color in games when there is a conflict

The default color is kind of cool. I still think the priority of who joined first a lot better, mostly because I joined so early that I almost always get my color unless Troll or DAMP are in the game.

it would be funny to see a stat in the profile of 'Known Associates" so you can see the top 3 people the person teams up with the most.

The ability to list more Favorite games. In addition to that, be able to put a caption on the favorite games so you can explain why its one of your favorites.

the priority thing would not work for open games, but would be good for tournaments.
Basically what a tourney does is invite all the players from each team playing in the tournament without giving them an option to decline, so it would be easy to have it invite all of the members from the teams first, and it wouldn't change anything, because it only takes a fraction of a second for it to send invites, so altering the order changes nothing

instead of "Known Associates" would be cool to be able to set a list of your "Favorite 5 players" or "Friends" or whatever

More favorite games is a cool idea, it would also be cool to choose which game stats to list on your profile. in other words display only 1v1 and 2v2 or just 1v1 or whatever you choose instead of the current option to show or hide all

I think there should be a Rival status you can list yourself under. Everyone is listed without a rival at first, and so theyre just alone, but then you can change your status to list someone as a Rival. Then they have to confirm if they like you enough to be your Rival.

If you stopped liking them, instead of having to refuse their games, you could just change your Rival status.

Or maybe they dont like it that you have multiple rivals listed, so they feel like you arent spending enough time with them and they want you to meet their parents but youre like, whoa this is moving too fast, and they're like, but you just conquered my heart bonus, and you're like, wow I am breaking that bonus and airlifting out of here.

@BM -- Last paragraph. LOL.

I think it would be great to have a sortable/filterable list of all of your completed games. Examples of things to filter by include game type (1v1, 2v2, 4 player FFA, etc.), opponent, map, teammate, some key game settings (multi-attack, luck percentage), etc.

Right now there is no easy way to go back and see how I've done in the past on various maps. I think this would be tremendously useful.

Also, I'd like to second Ruthless' comment about BM's last paragraph. hahaha.

Ruthless, LOVE your post about the fave games caption I think that's a wicked idea! I also like the known associates idea but I think I already know who my top 3 would be so not sure how entirely useful it would be but I like the concept =P

My idea was to let us lock in our names. There's already another Duke running around confusing people - that should stop.

I like the locking in names thing, but how would you make that effect peoples names that are already in place? members would have to change their name to something thats not taken before locking it in, you'd have to give up duke

Members over non-members. Then by seniority among members.

Non-member players currently using the name of a member would get an email saying they need to change it to a name that isn't taken. Trying to change your name to a taken name or register a new account with that name woudl generate a pop-up sayign the name's been taken.

If you're really attached to your name and don't want to see someone become a member and take it from you, then you'd best buy a membership.

but what kind of penalty would there be for those non-members who dismiss the e-mail? how would you force them to change their name?

and this isn't necessary because you have a member sticker next to your name, and the other one doesn't. you could just stop members from having the same name, and those without memberships could duplicate names all they want and it wouldn't change anything because the member tag still defines you

I was thinking, instead of having the member symbol match your prefered color, would it be cooler to be able to make your own logo? like a crest" or even have it display your profile picture?

this would also be a solution to those of you that claimed not to like the identifier, because you could just set yours to black

No penalty -- just add a "1" after the name or some other letter of symbol. I suppose letting nonmembers copy members' names is a solution, but that could easily confuse people.
