In Episode Four, Luke and Ben come to Luke's aunt and uncles' house to find them burned to a crisp. Ben Kenobi points out that the blaster marks he finds are too accurate for Sandpeople (Tusken Raiders) and comes to the conclusion that Stormtroopers are the ones behind the attack.
But wait, when was the last time we ever saw stormtroopers using flamethrowers? I'm sure there are units that use them, but nowhere in the movies are they shown. Why would flamethrowers be used on a mission to relocate two droids? That's going a little overboard, don't you think? Blasters only would be much more efficient with a mission like that.
Who do we know, that is a good shot, was on Tatooine at that time, has worked for the Empire before and after, can be emotionally unstable, and has a flamethrower in his arsenal? Boba Fett. We know that Boba Fett was on the planet. He was seen chewing out Han, telling him to get his sh*t together because Jabba was getting impatient. Every Star Wars fan who dabbled in merchandise other than the movies knows of his flamethrower. He is the best bounty hunter of his time, and to top it off, in Episode Five, he is specifically told by Darth Vader that on the mission there should be "No disintegrations." How would Vader know he legit disintegrated people on one of his missions, unless...

ah but you see whoever sent the storm troopers gave them flame throwers as they knew a strom trooper can't hit shit but a flamethrower doesn't need accuracy. plus blasters would do too much damage to droids as flameies would not.

It costs more to send Boba than a stormtrooper. Also, as Boba is a good guy, the plot dictates he didn't do it, in the same way that Darth Vader just avoids killing anyone important (you only directly see him kill five people in the entire trilogy + end of third one, none of which are main characters).

I was alwyays wondering about that scene, becuase Ben said Stromtroopers are that accurate. But looking at the films they actually never hit ANYTHING....

We all know Obi-Wan is a psychotic liar; " A young Jedi named Darth Vader...[]...He betrayed and murdered your father.", "Only imperial stormtroopers are so precise", "Your father wanted you to have this, when you were old enough", "So, what I told you was true, from a certain point of view". Obi-Wan wilyly and cunningly uses such lies in order to get Luke to join his crusade. In the end, only one thing holds Luke back to tatoine. His aunt and uncle. Lightsabres burn stuff. Force speed is faster than an airspeeder. Deduce the rest yourself.
