Hey guys! I'm a very active Game of Thrones Diplomacy game player. I LOVE to do it. I have wondered this before, but I am finally asking everyone. How many of you would be interested in playing a Game of Thrones Diplomacy tournament? It would be a huge project, but one I am willing to work on. Anyways, comment if you are interested or have any input/ideas on how I could make this tournament awesome.

Oh, and by the way, if you are only here to say how this is a dumb idea or how you think this shouldn't be allowed, or how this isn't going to work, stay the fuck away from the comment section. I don't want to here from you.

How do you plan to organize this? I am pretty curious.

I did mean Roleplay, TBest.

And Death, I have not got that figured out all the way yet. I am currently planning it out with some friends, and this idea only just occurred to me. However, if you have any idea, feel free to share them. I need all the help I can get.

How is it "very" different from diplomacy?

Well, Diplomacy means that you follow a certain set a rules established by the creator.
RP requires an actual backhistory to the game, and reasonable actions taken by the players.

It's not "very" different.

For an RP game you are in character the whole game. You (and the other players) make up scenarios to explain all actions that happens in the game. Even PM should be in character.

The goal of an RP game is to make up the best story. Thus the winner is not whoever is strongest.

A diplo is basically an FFA. (There may be teams ofc. but) The goal is to get biggest/sole survivor using any means possible. However because most player are of equal strength, picking your fights, alliances, backstabbing etc. are often the way to victory. Nevertheless there is no need to chat in a Diplo. A true diplo always have a winner.

Notes: Modern WL diplo's have PE, way too often VTE instead of playing it out, and sometimes elements of RP. (but not all the time)

Point is the goal of a Diplo and RP is diffrent.

RP. Telling/Performing the best story

Diplo. Be the biggest player/ only one remaining.

Thus for a RP tourney you may have a panel/jury declaring a winner. Often this is done by having a map were one territory connects to all territories, and the host/judge having the ability to eliminate anyone at any time. The host may also have some scenario happen during the game.

Oh, and I could play a GoT diplo (since diplo her only refers to the map used), but not a GoT roleplay (were I would be acting as a character), due to my limited knowledge of the series.
