I always imagined *never tested* that team games would go abABBAba capitals being the second teammate of the same letter... so that Team A gets 1st and 3rd on first move, and Team B gets 1st and 3rd on 2nd move.

That is not how it works. It's randomized among all players every turn and ignores teams.
