The reason I'm bringing this idea up (though I am not the idea's originator) is because of the new Mailing system. Whether the PM system within a single game is active or not, people can still message people for peace, truce, etc.

The anonymous games would make it almost impossible for players to contacting each other, effectively making FFAs well... free-for-alls.

I dob't know how easy it will be for Fizzer to implement this, or if the idea will work well in practice, but I thought it would be a good idea to bring up. Any thoughts?

..but there are other ways to communicate in FFAs. For example I've played in FFAs where I simply didn't attack the guy next to me, and he didn't attack me - without any chat or PM.

However, I think this would be a nice feature to implement.

What so wrong with your little brain? There was my nickname in the thread title, so it was legit to think that.

I think that to have anonymous games would be quite effective, especially in the seasonal ladder, where 3 weak players might gang up on one strong one. It might work in FFAs as well,but then it would have to be on a selective basis; as diplomacy games are quite popular nowadays.
