Debt is bad.
Not fighting ISIL is bad.
Punishing the rich with unbalanced taxes is bad.
I hope Canada realises their mistake before this guy does something completely stupid like invading Greenland, withdrawing from the Commonwealth or NATO.

While not fighting isis is "bad" Canada compared to the us can't have too much impact in the region. Them pulling out is not greatly important logistics but political having one less country supporting the US isn't good for the USAs image.

"taxing the rich" could prove beneficial as well if done very subtly .... That being said countries have gotten more in taxes from lowering the tax on the rich.

withdrawing from the Commonwealth

Lets talk about it, "commonwealth", do you think Canada should continue to be ruled (symbolicly) by a English monarch? Since at least half of its population has not any English origin (unlike New Zealand or Australia) and do not identify themselves with Elizabeth II as queen (btw just my opinion, Canadian dollars are quite ugly, not because the queen is on it, but because it looks like monopoly bills). I guess you heard of QUebec independence movements, one first step would be to put out Canada from any English sovereignty (even symbolic) like Ireland did once, and that would reconciliate all the Canadians.

LOL @ "ISIS is the worst group of people since the Nazis"

ISIS is not a threat on a global scale. The only reason they haven't been wiped out yet because it's politically inconvenient.

Hitler was not a global threat in the beginning. Early on France and Britain could of wiped out Nazi Germany, but it was politically inconvenient. History does often repeat itself, mostly because we humans refuse to learn and notice the patterns.

Also, I was referring more to their amoral actions rather than their current threat level. We're talking a group that regularly cuts off people's heads and even burned a Jordanian pilot alive inside of a cage.

We can either do something about ISIS, or sit on our hands and watch as they continue building strength/become more entrenched.

Eklipse truely believes the USA is fighting ISIS not supporting them.
You are so naive and uninformed, it hurts Eklipse.

There are already declassified Documents of the DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency) that contradict this assumption. Additionally, in an interview the former head of the DIA Michael T. Flynn has admited, that giving rise to the ISIS was a willful decision made by the Obama administration.

Also they would never be a real threat, mainly because of their fundamentalism. They are rejected by the majority of the population and are only in power because they are serving US interests in fighting and destabilizing the Assad regime.

Ah, yes. Here's myhand with the usual conspiracy theories. Just replace "The Jews" with "The Americans" and it's all the same formula.

Yes, I'm sure the U.S is launching airstrikes on ISIS because we're allied to them. I'm sure the U.S is backing the Syrian rebels, who are also enemies of ISIS, with supplies because we want ISIS to succeed. It makes total sense to waste resources fighting your allies and strengthening your enemies.

You can talk about declassified documents all you want, but it's an easy to confirm fact that the U.S has been expending resources to counter the agenda of ISIS. Even if we were once supporting them, we certainly aren't anymore.

It's not a conspiracy theory, it's conspiracy praxis if you so wish. I don't make that stuff up, you are free to google the very own information gathered by the very country you so eagerly try to defend.

So to prevent further confusion with the word conspiracy theory, i will give you an example of a conspiracy theory:

"Iraq has weapons of mass destruction and Saddam Hussein is behind the attacks of 9/11."

P.S.: The US only fought ISIS briefly to protect the Oil fields in Iraq. They are off limits and ISIS was reminded of that. What is next? Are you going to tell me turkey is also fighting ISIS? Come on do it, prove your naivety once more.

@AngryPanda, about a fourth of Canada's population is in Quebec, im not sure about the origins of the rest of Canada completely but i would say the majority is English speaking and would identify with the Queen. Unlike the United States, Canada (minus Quebec i guess) don't want to kick out the Queen, we are quite content with being part of the commonwealth. We asked for our independence in 1982 and Britain said sure..???? That doesn't sound like a country that is eager to be rid of the Queen. And in my opinion, i love our money, its colourful and plastic and smells like maple syrup :D (she is only on the coinage and $20 bill btw, our Prime Ministers are on the rest) ... Britain is part of our government and style of politics, its how we are, the Governor General of Canada represents the Queen and they virtually have no power, all they do is basically agree to any bills parliament wants to pass. Withdrawing from the commonwealth and cutting all ties with Britain would make a lot of Canadians very upset, myself included.

church, Canada is a multicultural nation not only English or French, the example is cities like Toronto or Montreal were half of their population are born outside of Canada, hence no link with England at all. And yeah I read somewhere that the French are still the biggest ethnicity in Canada above the Scottish, Irish and English, as many people of French origin switched to English (particularly in Ontario, Manitoba and the Maritime provinces), so people of Quebec are not only the ones to have a French ancestry, particularly if you think about Quebec, there is actually many people of non French ancestry but speaking French like many people with Irish surnames because their ancestors were adopted by French Canadians during the 19th century.

Hello! I am a Canadian occupier. It's my profession.

I started with the Saint Lawrence River. Now, it's an artery of North American industry and now has civil area with free schools, clinics, and galore tourism. Now it's illegal to sell a woman there for a bear skin.

I occupied Quebec. Left between the choice of Quebec or Guadeloupe, the French government abandoned the Québecois and instead kept there aristocratic vacation spot. Together, we combined our industries and made an awesome land.

I occupied the American capital. We repaired America's reputation as uncouth, treasonous bandits, and bringed long forgotten civilisation and order in these lands. They asked me to leave.

Oh, yes, I'm a bloody aggressor by birthright, and proud of it.

It was I, who defended our long border, outnumbered against the Americans in the War of 1812, but how did their capitol end up?

It was I, who sat in sad trenches, but on a mission to free the Balkan folk from Austriahungary's genocide, but what happened to Austriahungary?

It was I who housed all the runaway royalty in the Second World War, and I kept fighting tough battles in whatever weather, but how did the Nazi leaders end up?

Come and fight me - come into my house; we've over a m^2 for all the world!

So understand, I do not need your NATO interests. I do not need your Commonwealth interests. Your aims are foreign to me. Don't get me wrong; I love peace, I build peace, but I know how to fight the best.

Jove,
Canadian Occupier

Crying about Godwin's Law while not actually making any points doesn't make your argument valid, nor does it make you seem any smarter.

Also, Godwin's Law doesn't apply in this case. I wasn't comparing anyone in this thread to Hitler, I was comparing a group who's committed countless atrocities on a similar scale to the Nazis. There's a difference.

@AngryPanda I'm just trying to say, that being British is part of our identity and if you take that away from us by severing all ties from Britain like the Queen and withdrawing from the commonwealth, then what are we... We become the actual America Jr. ... In my opinion, if people want to take this away from Canada, they shouldn't have come to Canada. Like how half Toronto or Montreal is pretty much made up of immigrants, if they move here they should accept it and move on and not force us to change our long standing traditional way of government, if they didn't want to be associated with Britain then they should have immigrated to America.

There may be millions of French-origin people in Canada, but English-origin or British-origin people are just as many if not more

eh i did not say anything about withdrawing canada from Commonwealth, but to remove the queen of England as the head of state because canada is a sovereign state, that is not only composed of its British identity (are you denying that?). The US were also an ancient British colony as Ireland, but they decided to follow a different path. Canada should definitely remove the queen of england but as for Commonwealth i never said Canada should be outside of it, many states are part of commonwealth without having the queen of england as head of state you see.
