It seems 5 min initial bank time is the default setting when banking boot times is enabled. Banking boot times is an awesome feature for real time games, but 5 min initial can cause a very painful problem. If someone abandons the game early on, everyone must wait 5 minutes for the leaver's bank to expire. Often, this causes another player to abandon the game, and so the remaining players must wait another 5 minutes!

If this is a common issue, maybe we can politely request that Fizzer change the default setting for initial bank time to something small like 30 seconds.

Has anyone else experienced this? Please don't be rude in your response, even if you are extremely frustrated by this issue. IMHO, Warlight is the best flash game of all time, and I only want to see it get better.

if you don't have 5 minutes to wait, play a different game

Plus, some people actually use most of that time to strategize

As a good mitigating feature, consider including the 5 min initial bank, but having it reduced fairly quickly so that it doesn't "kick in" later in the game when someone drops out.
