I unfortunately have been slacking on organizing the Roast and the awards. This is very much in part with the lack of dedication from other folk though. It's hard to do this alone, and see nobody enthusiastic to help or accept your offers.

This is also an issue I've noticed in off topic as of late. We've been somewhat self-boastful, and now we're filled with retarded Forum games.

We need to stay away from the dumb political debates, but at the same time we have to maintain interesting conversation.

Thus, i propose we bring back the roleplaying games, and possibly introduce new things, perhaps a thing where the forums and an actual game are connected or sth.

We just need to keep it fresh and transition into another golden Era.

any ideas to kick it off ?

We could possible get a DaD style rp going? Get your character and such made develop a background story for said character. Kind of like that Nation rp Jap had going for a bit.

That's a great idea. We could establish some rules and regulations, but we'd try to keep it as open as possible.

Problem with DaD style roleplay: It requires serious effort, and is hard to work around vacations.

I was being serious. Its a role playing game and has potential to be something cool. If you ever played the Nations diplomacy TheLastJapanese set up you'd see the potential.

Of course we won't be able to set up a full blown DaD game for obvious reasons such as lack of dice or vacations as you said. But that doesn't mean we can't simplify it into something manageable for us.

I was referring to SirSalty with the "joking" comment. I enjoyed the thread I linked, where everybody controlled a single character, and every action's result was decided by a d20. This lead to some hilarious, absurd actions succeeding amazingly because they rolled high. I mean, in that thread, we somehow managed to take Nic Cage, 3 bloodthirsty wolves, a dismembered golem, and a chest with a tongue, and make them all our pet. Weird stuff happens and it gets pretty fun.
