This is a minor complaint that I have. If everyone in a game wants to VTE except one person, why does that person then complain when the entire game turns against him. if you are keeping everyone in a game they don't want to be in, you lose the right to complain when they decide to declare war on you and work cooperatively to destroy you. As for those who complain of Gang-banging in a diplo, I would argue that diplomacy is fought just as much in private and public chat as on the battlefield. if you aren't ready to try to counter that by forming alliances and counter-alliances, then perhaps a diplo game isn't the game for you. I am open to debate on this.

I hate those people who think that a diplo game must have a winner...

Amen^^. If you are playing a Diplo to win you aren't playing it right. A gangbang is a filthy and cowardly way to knock out opponents. Some amount of gangbang is alright...but if your group has 2x the income of the other one then come on. The reason why people don't join to help the person getting gangbanged is that they fear everyone will turn on them next.

Gangbanging takes a great deal of backroom negotiation. you risk being completely outed as an untrustworthy Lord and completely decimated by those who you wish to ally. its not to win, its too participate in realistic diplomacy. if you wish to counter a gangbang, you need to participate in actual negotiation, you need to see who your enemies are and who your friends are, if you dont, then you failed in the negotiation and thus have failed at the diplomacy aspect of a diplo.

I've played a few diplomacies, and I mostly agree with the fact that diplos are not played to win. However, if the game is a ranked game, then I don't mind people not Vteing. I just think that they need to live with the consequences.

You play all games to win. Realistic diplomacy is about gaining world domination; a unification war of Earth over many decades. You have way more tools and the settings and players are quite different from normal strategic Warlight games. You can always play your cards right, though.
If this is such a problem to you whiners, though, why don't you just make it a practice game?

My pure view on this is if someone acts like a complete jerk during a game(decides to abuse power, whatever), I just blacklist them so I have to never deal with that person again.

It seems pretty self-evident to me that if you're playing a game where winning is not the goal, it should NEVER be a ranked game.
Having said that:
People need to be clear what kind of game they are playing.
There is a world of difference between a competitive "diplomacy" game (which has a win condition, which should also not be left ambiguous) and a non-competitive "roleplaying" game, where the goal is just to tell a story and play a character and eventually VTE.
You do no one any favours by vague on this point; indeed, you only have yourself to blame for this kind of confusion and unhappiness among the players. Allow different people to assume different things about the nature of the game, do nothing to solve that problem, and this is what you get.
