GAMEPLAYONUW is a Werewolf game, but much shorter, taking place over 48 hours with only one night and day phase. Unfortunately this game is only for around 10 players, but you do have a much higher chance of being a special role.
First off is the random draw. Each player will be given one of the roles in the game. The full set of available roles will be listed at this point, but there are always three ‘spare roles’ not used in a game, so players are left guessing as to exactly what roles are in play. Upon receiving your role, I will ask you to reply and acknowledge receipt. Failure to reply may result in AIDS and you may be replaced in the game.
Once all roles have been allocated via private message, it is important that you do not post info about your role until it is DAY TIME. Before that, we have…
NIGHT TIMEThere are several roles that are called on to do a “night action”. These night actions include things like looking at other players' roles, swapping other players' roles, and stealing other players' roles. See the list of roles below for specific things that will happen in the night. Not everyone has a night action, and some are given information without having to submit anything to the Gamesmaster.
So, if you are a special role with a night action, you need to reply to the Gamesmaster with your desired action. Once all the replies are in, the Gamesmaster will process them in the following order:
1: DOPPELGANGER
2: WEREWOLF (Only action is to look at spare role if only one wolf in play and told who other werewolves are)
3: MINION is given information based on the WEREWOLVES at this point
4: SEER
5: ROBBER
6: TROUBLEMAKER
7: DRUNK
DAY TIMEAfter the night phase, players will have approx. 48h to discuss amongst themselves who they believe the Werewolves are. All players may say anything, though it is expected that players on team village wouldn't have a reason to lie. It is normal for players to reveal who they are and what they did during the day phase. The point of the game for Villagers is to piece together what happened. If you refuse to give information, or hang on too long, you will likely draw suspicion. Werewolves might want to claim to be a different role so that they don’t die.
Always remember, that your role is the one assigned to you at the end of the night phase, which may be different than your original role, so you may be unknowingly claiming to be a role that you actually aren't. It is not uncommon for people to play the game thinking they are something else (in fact, that’s part of the fun)
NO PRIVATE MESSAGING. This is an important point, especially for those who normally play the big Wolf games. All communications take place in this thread. There is no point in trying to set up alliances or form teams, the game only lasts 48 hours. Some players will have their roles swapped without even knowing, so it's pointless talking to someone outside of the thread as they may say they are a seer but actually are not at all without even knowing.
Players must then vote for who they want to die by privately messaging the Gamesmaster. All players must have voted within the deadline. Players can change their votes as many times as they like, but once the deadline is up, the vote is locked in.
WINNINGThe player with the most votes is lynched. A tie means MULTILYNCH! The win conditions for players are as follows:
- the Villager Team wants to ensure at least one Werewolf dies
- the Werewolf Team wants to ensure no Werewolves die
- the Tanner Team wants to ensure that the Tanner dies
But what if... :
- if both Werewolf cards are in the Reserve, the Villagers must instead kill the Minion
- if all of the Evil team's cards are in the Reserve, the Villagers must ensure that all players receive one and exactly one vote each (you may ignore the Tanner's vote for this)
WEREWOLVESWerewolves will be told by Mail who the other wolf is. If there is only one Werewolf, the werewolf may view one of the 3 spare roles (A B or C) which is useful to help deceive the other players as to your identity.
There are only a max of 2 wolves in this game.
MINIONThe Minion is on team Werewolf. The minion knows who the werewolves are (if any), but the wolves don't know who the minion is. If the minion dies and no werewolves die, team werewolf wins. If no players are werewolves, the minion wins as long as one player that isn't the minion dies. This role can be a very powerful ally for the werewolves.
DOPPELGANGERThe Doppelgänger's action is first in order. At night, the Doppelgänger looks at (but does not switch) one other player’s role and does the following based on what they see:
Villager, Tanner, Hunter: Is now that role and does nothing else at night.
Werewolf: Is told who the other Werewolves are and is on Team Werewolf.
Seer, Robber, Troublemaker, Drunk: Immediately does that role’s action
Minion: Is told who the wolves are. She is on the werewolf team.
The Doppleganger's default team is Team Village
SEERAt night, the Seer may either look at one player's role, or at two of the spare roles (A B or C).
ROBBERAt night, the Robber may choose to swap roles, unknowingly, with another player. The robber is told his new role. The person he robbed from will not know they’ve been switched. The robber is then on the team of the role he steals. The robber's default team is team village.
TROUBLEMAKERThe Troublemaker may switch the roles of two other players without knowing their roles. The switched players are now the role and team of their new role, even though they don't know that they’ve been switched, or what role that is.
DRUNKThe drunk is so pissed that he doesn't remember his role. When he comes to wake up at night, he must exchange his role for any of the 3 spare roles (A B or C). The drunk is now that role. He doesn't know what role that is. It is not uncommon for the drunk to lie about his role until he can decipher which side he is actually on.
VILLAGERVillagers are your usual, dumb, villager. He is definitely not a wolf. There are 3 villagers. He has no special ability.
HUNTERIf the Hunter dies, the player he voted for dies as well (regardless of how many votes that player receives) The Hunter is on team village. The Hunter doesn't know he is the Hunter, he thinks he is a villager, but if the seer looks at him they will be told he is the Hunter.
TANNERThe Tanner hates his job so much that he wants to die. The Tanner only wins if he dies. If the Tanner dies and no wolves die, the wolves do not win. If the tanner dies and and a wolf also dies, the village team win as well as the tanner.

(should be noted I did not make this game.)
