Meow (I will call you that way since its very confusing with my own name), planets are very close because this universe is huge: hundreds of planets have to be taken in count. If you noticed and paid a little attention about the Star Wars Galaxy maps already, you would see planets are just small points, so to render it as a playable map for warlight is quite a hard work.
Actually, I would need some help and advices for this.
Some planets are bigger: Mon Calamari, Korriban, Naboo, Corruscant, why? because I planned to also draw territories in this very famous planets, whereas it was pointless to draw territories in some minor planets (one territory is enough for most of them) because people never heard of them even in the Star Wars stories, movies, etc.
I highly need some fans here because despite the fact I am myself one I would like to make it as close as possible to this universe's reality. And at the meantime make a very nice playable map allowing people to play an infinte possibility of scenarios (My master is Dameon here, and I am glad he one year ago taught me a little about how to draw a correct map, he is the very guy that made the most successful fictional map that is Game of Thrones maps and motivated me to create this map)
Now some explanations:
* picture 1) here represents the left side of the map, you have STAR WARS written and below it, it actually would represent the Galactic parliament.
Im not sure yet how to render it correctly, but I have an idea and I would actually do something close to Dameon's works in the Game of Thrones map: he had the idea to render the small council of the seven kingdoms into his map.
I would like to do the same thing for Star Wars, here each circle would represent one seat: one galactic sector. Consequently, I intend to make it a very nice galactic diplo map where many scenarios could be created, something never done before.
Below the Galactic parliament, you have the Jedi temple and the Sith one, to distinguish the duality of the force, I also want to make something possible if people want to make a scenario opposing Jedis and Siths.
* picture 2) Here is only the North East sector of the Galaxy I started to draw, you would notice as I said earlier the greater planets by importance (Korriban, Mon Calamari) as possible capitals of sectors. I also draw the trades routes between planets, respecting the original map, I also added some 'funny' posibilities to skip the galactic routes, adding some 'black holes' or gates (think about Stargate), that way people would not have to take forever to conquer the entire Galaxy.
* picture 3) another screen capture, showing you the original map, I think personally this map is the best I found, as some are incomplete and others too big or irrelevant and erroneous.
Now I really would have hoped more contributions or answers here... As I told you I would like that people contribute if possible, and if some of you are huge fans of Star Wars, I need you, so dont be shy :)
