Websites have to start moving away from Flash because it's no longer going to be supported. Much to my dismay the same is happening to Unity as well. It's to do with security issues.

I don't have a problem with phasing over to HTML only (but the choice for Flash should still be there, for those more used to it; it doesn't hurt anybody) but don't do it halfway, that's my point.

Well, it sort of does, Flash has security holes which people could use to get to personal data. I don't disagree that the halfway shunt we seem to be stuck in is a bit jarring though...

Anyway, from what I understand you can still access the old open games pages still?

Maybe he's rewriting the base code to make the transition away from Flash? We can hope... It would be nice to at least have a faint idea what he's working on though...

Ok, well, I'm not too knowing of the problems of Flash, but like you said, the old flash My Games/Open Games still exist but are hidden? I think it's unintentionally an arse move, that they are still there, but there's no choice at all (in settings) to make them doorable. And you said something I forgot to say:

Ask the community. The fora population might give a bias, but Fizzer has powers to go beyond. He says he makes it best for newcomers. If he did, he would have perhaps a place for suggestions and settings ratings that would be noted to new visitors. And perhaps have more scenari for single player, like he promised aeons ago.

It's a lot of work though, and I think he's lost interest, he's content with what he has at the moment, he gets by, and that's enough for him.

I knew flash was on its last legs but I had no idea about unity, interesting.

I think most the Fizzer insulting is in jest and not serious, and if it is serious it's trolling, so I think it's ok, chill yourselves guys, what do you expect from unmoderated forums? ;)

Btw: The security issue with Unity is due to the code being too powerful. Basically it's support has been withdrawn from various browsers by default, most recently Chrome.
