Map Number 2 is in the works!

This one will be an island map, fantasy-themed, with 3 or 4 major kingdoms. The left part with bonuses intact already is the Fey Kingdom, with most of the traditional D&D fey races represented. The bottom right (with straight internal borders) will be the human kingdom, while the top portion of the map surrounding the mountain range will be the dragon kingdom. The entire middle swath of the map will be minor race enclaves, with an elemental fighting ring in the middle.

I'm considering making the top right section of the island another major race, but haven't decided yet.
The island chains will likely have penalty bonuses, making them difficult to hold, but providing important early access to the other kingdoms, without having to move through the middle section of the map.

Comments and criticisms are welcome, as well as any territory names you'd like to see that are in the theme of the map. Coming up with names is going to take quite a bit of time, I think... Basic background will be attached to the map, and it should look much prettier by the time it goes up.

I'll need testers in a week or two when it's finished up! Let me know if you'd like to be on the list.

Maybe you should overthink some connections like this one...

Oh, connections aren't in place yet, those are remnants from earlier and are getting redone once the territories are all in. Sorry!

Looks already awesome! The peninsula on the right looks like a thumbs up to me.

It totally does... hadn't noticed that before.

Try to make sure you use a colour scheme for the bonuses. Random colours look worse.

I'd like to see dwarfs as faction.

You could name their bonuses like:
Blue Mountains for the megabonus and the small bonuses as the dwarf-clans.

For example: goldhammers, blacksmith, diamond diggers, axe swingers... or something^^
Just typical surenames of dwarfs. Belonging to the groups of warriors, smiths, refiners and so on.

Would be great. ^.^
Also mark me for testing the map on practise settings if you want =)
