I've had an account here on Warlight for a couple of years, but I only really started playing this past month or so. I just started getting into the big roleplaying multi-day games and I've basically fallen in love. I have noticed one thing though.
As soon as a person starts to really win, everyone hates that person. In the beginning everyone is friendly and will roleplay mostly as nice conservative rulers. The chat is usually casual and lighthearted for about 90% of the game. However, as soon as someone begins to have a significant enough advantage, that person is officially Adolph Hitler. When someone starts to win they have essentially signed up to be verbally ripped apart. People will say they cheat, they'll curse at them, blacklist them, surrender in mass. I've basically seen everything. I'm not talking ganging up on them tactically. That's obviously just smart. I just don't know why everybody's gotta be a sore loser.

What I do is make role playing games with teams. its less likely to have sore losers, also remind everyone that it is a practise game. Role-playing games should be practise, its just for fun and not a real test of strategic skill, or should I say a different test of strategic skill.
