"offensive language" is a misnomer, especially on a simulated battle site -- I'd rather see a something descriptive of the types of language that isn't permitted. The NY Times editorial Friday had a description of UCLA's policy (which it emphasized had to be balanced against free speech concerns):
"We do not tolerate acts of discrimination, harassment, profiling or other harm to individuals on the basis of expression of race, color, ethnicityā€¯ and other traits."

I like that a lot better than something silly like you can't use "offensive language" or worse, trying to ban all words you can't say on the public radio.
