I'm not complaining, but merely pointing out what a noob monty is. If I were you, I would blacklist this noob. Who want's to play with some one who'll boot you a microsecond over the boot timer?

I have also had problems with Jay Money.

He was losing a game so started taking exactly 5 minutes to play each move (to slow the game right down), presumably with the hope that I'd surrender because it was taking too long. He went a bit over the 5 minutes so I booted him and he started calling me a cheater and shouting at me etc.

So, I told him to get lost and called him an asshole (I think?), so he said he was going to report me to Fizzer and get me banned for cursing, lol.

Just avoid him.

First of all, if you have a problem with using the whole boot timer then i suggest that you don't create a game with a 5 minute boot timer. Secondly, there is nothing wrong with booting if one is to go over the boot timer...the boot timer is there for a reason....so don't go over or if you do than you better give a warning first so that the other players know you are planning on making a move

If musiq gets banned for that S*** that's just ridiculous. His post should maybe be removed, but It's not slander because it happened

What ridiculous settigns. 5 minute autoboot but then you allow any player to boot after 3 minutes. What's the point of that?? It's like a set-up to get players to assume they have 5 minutes so you can boot at 3 minutes.

Don't play games with thos esettigns people.

All these threads are making me hope that direct boot gets abolished for real-time games.

How about abolishing it for games with autoboot on (make it an either or rather than cumulative option). Otherwise it's just confusing to players who think they have time. I'm okay with a shorter Vote to boot (although there should be an option to disable VTB when the game gets down to 2 players or teams).

Hate to break the news to you Eagleblast, but Musiq2020 deserves to get banned. Read the rules. Rule number one: be respectful to other players at all times. Rule number two: offensive language will not be tolerated. Therefore, Musiq2020 violated the two and only rules of this forum. That is not acceptable and must be reported.

"offensive language" is a misnomer, especially on a simulated battle site -- I'd rather see a something descriptive of the types of language that isn't permitted. The NY Times editorial Friday had a description of UCLA's policy (which it emphasized had to be balanced against free speech concerns):

"We do not tolerate acts of discrimination, harassment, profiling or other harm to individuals on the basis of expression of race, color, ethnicityā€¯ and other traits."

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/03/18/opinion/18fri2.html?ref=editorials

I like that a lot better than something silly like you can't use "offensive language" or worse, trying to ban all words you can't say on the public radio.
