why people delay max when they understood they lost?

i play a game against WG Tenshi! he played normaly, and when he understood he lost he play after 2 days and 22/23 hours!
i asked him why he did that and ask him to play or surrender!
his answuer : "i don t like cockie people , i wanted surrender but now, i will not."

but he is not alone!!

so maybe someone can explain me people delay when they lost?

Comme tu sembles être francophone, je crois que je peux écrire mon message en français. XD Donc, comme je l'ai précisé plus haut, Tenshi fait partie du clan WG. Si tu envoies un message au «leader» de WG concernant le comportement déplorable de Tenshi, ce dernier risque de changer très rapidement. Mais évidemment, ça dépend de ce qui s'est passé quand vous parliez ensemble... Et quand tu enverra ton message à Chris, tu dois inclure le lien de ton match.

i have to laugh when i see posts like these...
All those crybabies claiming that boot times can't be less than 3 days or they can't make their turns, yet when someone takes 3 days to move..... you all moan again like crazy.

It's 3 day boot zevouloun, yes, it seems like an eternity when you want the game finished, but apparently it's a "reasonable" time.
No matter what the reason, all the time it's set to 3 days, some people will take 3 days!

This is not delaying at all, in fact he's quicker than most players. a couple slow turns is nothing to be upset over.

I don't think this is delaying either. It is ok to think over a few turns when you're in a tight spot. The fact that he took back-to-back turns shows his intention wasn't to stall. Of course holding on to a completely lost game is not cool.

I expect 5 second turns made from everyone during a one sitting game.

But for a multi day game, shit comes up, calm your tits. 3 days is good.

If it's simply that you are impatient to wait for playing, you could always start more games.

mate i will not lie to you i ve done it some times when i am loosing say it ego say it however you want i just dont want to surrender i am trying hard to change that attitude. I just dont want to get inside the game and take the turn. Thats the reaosn at list why i am doing it and for me its something that i understand if someone does it but thats my humble opinion of course

Heh, sometimes for me it's like, "Ughh, *that* game. I know I'm probably losing, and I have to fight super hard if I can possibly win. Ughh. I'll get to it later...." More like dread than trying to drag it out.

It entirely depends on what is happening behind the fog. Without seeing that, it looks like he's not stalling. If he's got a completely lost position and is running that's a different story

Im in the camp of never surrendering just because its obvious im gonna lose (i lose most games). its still valuable to keep playing. Who knows? he might slip up and give you an opportunity. If anything, its another chance to learn something new.

but of course stalling just for the sake of pissing off the other guys isnt cool either. You have to play it by ear. if everyone else is yelling and screaming for you to just 'gg' yourself to oblivion or else theyll... dear god... Blacklist you (the horror of never having to play with someone thats angry at you again is too much for one man to handle), then by all means chill out, gg, and gtf-on with other games. not like youre limited to one game at a time.

now that you say it... I remember that you zevouloun urged me to play faster whereas I told you I couldnt because I was at that moment busy.

Indeed you should be careful while urging people, I know many people do not take it that good to be forced to play faster particularly if they cant.

So be respectful zevouloun and wait for your opponent, asking him to play faster is counter productive really.

What Tenshi did wasn't stalling, it was being busy. Stalling is when every turn you take is just a few hours before boot, and you don't do your back-to-backs.
