Not sure if it's been mentioned or not but I know we have traditional bracket tournaments and also round robin tournaments. I thought of a new style which could be lots of fun (most likely for 1v1's).

Set up two teams, A and B, and each player on team A plays each player on team B in a round robin fashion. Afterwards, you add up the wins on each side and that team wins the tournament. Think of it as a Team Round Robin.

I think this would be a good precursor to Clans or Leagues in which each Clan/League can challenge another with a set amount of players.

For a more visual representation:

A1 B1
A2 B2
A3 B3

A1 plays B1, B2, B3
A2 plays B2, B3, B1
A3 plays B3, B1, B2

Add up those 9 games and the winning team is the one with the most overall wins

Sorry to pull one idea out of your tournament overhaul Eagle. I think your uservoice is a very important one and I would like to see an overhaul. I just think this one idea has a chance to make it as it seems like it wouldn't be too hard to implement.

I'd also like to see some sports league format.

Round robin and playoff.

You can manage how many rounds.

For instance, say you create a tournament with 30 players. After the round robin is complete, 8 move on to playoffs, or another round robin stage.
