The UK has banned entry to many individuals for hate speech. The same principles should apply to everyone who wishes to enter the UK.

If the United Kingdom is to continue applying the 'unacceptable behaviour' criteria to those who wish to enter its borders, it must be fairly applied to the rich as well as poor, and the weak as well as powerful.

LMAO SO HARD!! The british are so spineless. This petition is completely pointless. Britain wouldn't give Narendra Modi a visa because of the Gujarat Riot Controversy in 2002, but as soon as he becomes PM you guys let him come to the UK no problem. If Trump becomes President you will roll out the red carpet for his entry and Cameron will shake his hand and I'll be laughing.

I'm not even a Trump supporter, but I still think this is ridiculous. Banning "hate speech" is like opening a Pandora's box, because the definition of "hateful" and "offensive" is entirely subjective. If unchecked more and more speech will be banned/censored until there's little left to say.

Even more shocking is how European countries usually preach tolerance but have shown themselves to be quite intolerant of people they don't agree with. (This isn't the first time there's been a "Ban so-so because we don't like his politics!" petition coming from the U.K)

I'm convinced that Trump is a crazy extremist, yet he still holds just one appeal: Slapping down political correctness.

Seriously, everyone made Hitler comparisons to Obama as well. The whole "Charismatic leader rises to power amidst economic turmoil/environment of fear" is such a shallow criteria that nearly every president can be compared to Hitler.

It's funny to see liberals make the same doomsday predictions about Trump that conservatives made about Obama.

the difference is that Trump regularly spouts hatespeech. and is fearmongering. and holds views that might have possibly been considered normal, hundreds of years ago. equally frightening, is that there is a large segment of America that has become xenophobic, panicky, irrational, and only interested in having scapegoats. No, it's not. The reaction to both of them has been pretty similar. It's the same "Oh no someone from the other party is going to win it's the end of the world!" sentiment which happens in every election. It's all the same blind, demonizing, partisan BS that is ruining the U.S

Maybe. But that's not criteria to ban him. Its not like he killed someone, committed human rights abuses, orchestrated a ponzi scheme, or did anything even borderline criminal. You just want to ban him because 1) you don't agree with his politics and 2) you want to claim the moral high ground in the fight against terrorism and the migrant crisis. The people who signed the petition are no different from university SJWs who want to ban free speech and make college administrators slaves to political correctness.

Trump isn't a radical, but he is a total idiot, and a terrible speaker.

Why stop at all muslims? Yeah, many terrorists the US is dealing with follows some extreme Islam, but there are others who cause trouble; plus, lying about one's religion is very easy. If we are to stop terrorists from entering, we should close all borders to all people until we can figure out who we already have. That's the only effective way to do what Trump wants.
