After seeing all the WL Off-topic "games" in existence, I thought I'd have a crack at one. The game I've chosen is Spyfall, a game where there are two "teams", if you like. As far as I know it's never been done before, so this is my template for it.
Concept: On the internet version, you have a time limit of 8 minutes to win the game, but because it's virtually impossible to play this real-time, the game ends when the spy is found out or the location is found out (a vote or location guess is done after time runs out, or during the game). In a private message, I will tell the players (there will be 8 for this first game) what their role is and if they're not the spy, the location corresponding to the role. One player will get a "1st", this means they start the questions, but this will be made public also. Participants are NOT to tell anyone their role!
There are two roles: the "spy", and the "people"; The spy is the player who is trying to guess the location, while also trying not to give any clues that he/she is the spy. Generally the spy tries to work out the location by looking at the questions and answers given by the other 7 players in this thread, while also asking questions which while they don't expose them, give subtle and crucial hints to the location, but they need to answer questions pinpoint perfectly, or near to it, to avoid losing. The spy wins when they correctly guess the location, if they fail, the game ends in a draw. If they are correctly accused, they must be honest about their role, and if they lie, I can tell the truth (if needed).
On the other hand, the people are the players who have a job/occupation assigned to them based on where the location is. They have to ask other players questions which either confirm they know the location or that they may be the spy. No player knows who anyone else's role is. Like the spy, they should ask questions which make it hard for the spy to give the location away, but they can answer vaguely or truthfully, since they know they're safe. The "people" win when the spy is found out, for this a majority vote of 5 or more votes is required and if the "spy" is not who people think it is, the game continues.
Example: (Each line represents one forum post, exempting the P2,3,4,5- where each number represents a player, I was lazy) Ryzys (L56)- P1, Would you say that this place is very big? (location: school) P1- Yes (question answered correctly, they could on the spy or the people team) P1- Ryzys, Would you say that this place has a lot of security? (location: day spa) Ryzys (L56)- Yes P1- I vote Ryzys as the spy, does anyone else? P2,3,4,5- I do. (P5) Ryzys, are you the spy Ryzys (L56)- Yes (people win) P1- Ryzys, Would you say that this place is very sandy? (stupid question) (location: beach) Ryzys (L56)- Yes. Is it the beach? P1- Yes (spy wins)
Also, nobody can ask the same person a question twice in a row. For example, P1 asks P4 a question, P4 answers and asks P1, this isn't allowed, P4 must ask someone other than P1. A correct sequence could be: P1-P4, P4-P6, P6-P2 etc., just as long as the sequence isn't swapped, because this creates boredom and no variation in answers.
