That looks amazing. Of course you should go for it!

It depends how big you want to make it. It could make a VERY good fantasy RP map (Similar to Noliterre!) but I feel like strategically, on a smaller scale, it would be too much like Battle Islands.

Looks good to me. Translation to SVG might end up losing some of the artistic 'feel' of it, but go for it anyway. :-)

Even so, I've seen some people do some incredible stuff with SVG though, I used to have an artist who could give things really good texture, even with vectors.

My only complaint here is that the map has the same flaw as your World of Noliterre one. It does not look like continents, but rather, VERY weird islands.

I think that's cool, I'm not keen on continent maps myself, and I love the idea of the castles :)

Well, the shape of the continents is more a personal preferance rather than an actual flaw. I think that the actual gameplay of the map is mor important than wether or not they look like actual continents.

Indeed, and it adds the fantasy feel to it. It sort of depends on what is your goal - fantastic or realistic? For fantasy, these shapes are excellent, if you're trying to hold on to some realism they look weird.

The way this goes however makes an awful lot of peninsula which are very easy to defend. Consider that too.

Also, I guess you really like question mark peninsulas :P
