He's not. I would gladly take Cruz and/or Paul over Trump. He says what would be best, but there is no way to attain what he speaks about. He's also a terrible speaker.

Putin and Russia are not an existential threat to USA. They are our natural allies for dealing with Islamic Terrorism. Japan77 I think you're missing the point of Rand Paul as a committed non-interventionist. Sanders would largely continue the policies of Obama (he has to...its the only way to gain support from the broad liberal base that craves war just as much as Republicans) which have been anything but peaceful (that nobel peace prize was the greatest troll ever).

Paul wouldn't institute a no-fly zone in Syria and seems intent to decrease our dependency on Chinese money.

The Problem with Paul is that his campaign sort died early in and hasn't really recovered. As such Sanders has better odds. Sanders would only go to war as a last resort, that's been part of his Foreign policy campaign(limited though it may be).

Hahaha true. But can you blame it for dying out in field of 14 republican candidates that are all just dying to get their hands on the launch codes?? That being said Sanders will not win the Democratic nomination. He lacks the political delegate endorsements. He'll win Iowa, New Hampshire and some other upper class white majority northeastern states, but he can't compete in Hillary country. It seems us non-interventionists just have to sit on our hands and wait for all this to blow up in their face. I may just stay home on election night...although I really don't want to do that for my first Presidential election.

The Thinking is if Sanders can win Iowa and New Hampshire, he will be viewed as a legit candidate, and as such may be able to convert the momentum into a victory. Obama did the same thing last election cycle(Admittedly, he had a very good chance at getting the African vote).

But yeah, it is looking pretty bad for non-interventionists within the US, especially following the paris attacks.
