Christians in America are exactly where the Jews were in 1930's Germany. I am not saying that we will be put in camps and slaughtered, but I am saying that the "Politically Correct" & Liberal media will come to persecute the great Christians who are grounded in faith, because we oppose both of their views. Let us celebrate Christmas wholeheartedly, reminding ourselves of the Birth of Jesus (even if he was born in June), the morals of Christianity, and the importance of Family. As a Christian in America, I disagree with OP very greatly. I hear a lot of cries of persecution from Christians in the US, but when they get slapped with a fine for not making a cake for a homosexual wedding, they cry persecution. Historically, torture and death is persecution. Not once have I felt myself or any member of my family was in any physical danger *because* of our Christianity.

I also disagree with the person stating that America is 75% Christian. It really depends on what you define as a Christian. I define a Christian as a person who is trusting Jesus only for their salvation and sanctification and are following His teachings. The 75% who label themselves "Christians" are no more Christians than I am a fern. If I had to guess (and it's only a guess), I would say less than 6-7% of us are actually Christians.

A note on Biblical persecution: The Bible teaches quite clearly that ALL believers will suffer persecution. It is possible that we will eventually see persecution of Christians in the USA and the Bible even indicates that it is an inevitability. But we're not there yet. I will be extremely honest when I say that the fact that the Bible teaches ALL believers will experience persecution coupled with the fact that I am not personally experiencing any persecution does cause me some disquiet on a spiritual level.

6-7% of Americans are Christian, and therefore there's an entire wing of a major political party controlled by a subset of Christianity.

We can interpret the bible in different ways and thus come to different conclusions on how to best serve the Lord above (as i understand it).

Not to mention, just because a person has a set of beliefs or morals does not necessarily mean they follow those morals. You may believe in honesty but you've likely lied before. But it might be more important to acknowledge that you're doing something immoral rather than just beingmoral all the time.

What a joke. Isn't it embarrassing to Americans that you have so many people among you who believe this crap? That's how you got Bush Jr. twice, BTW. It's not just an idle question. It has real-world effects, and not just within America either (e.g. Iraq).

You're right it depends on how you define Christian, but some definitions are more useful than others. Why don't you just define Christian as "Someone who believes exactly as I do", making you the only Christian in America?

To the rest of the world, who want to communicate with commonly understood definitions, the US is roughly 75% Christian.

I would personally place the number around 40-66%. Also, America is having severe attacks on Christians all around, First by LGTB (Don´t you dare argue that one with me) and now RADICAL Muslims. Nazi stages, yes. Would it make it as far? No. Should it be dealt with? Yes. Will it? Probably not. Trump is the only person actually saying he is going to do something as president, and he actually enjoys (shudder) running for election. He thinks its fun. Just watch him. He´s having a blast.

That is just wrong. In every way. Any public show of faith is considered insensitive. Teachers encourage atheism openly. They bash Christians for the Crusades, Nazism, etc, all while denigrating the existence of Israel and promoting 'diversity' that is code for Non-Christianity. I go to the schools. Trust me. In this younger generation, I see virtually no God-fearing children. We do promote religion is school, but it is Islam and atheism, not Christianity.

We never want to kick people out (no one I have ever heard, at least). We just want a TEMPORARY hold on Muslim immigration until ISIS ad radical Islam are dealt with.
