Just a friendly note:

If someone is breaking the [WarLight rules](/Rules.txt) in a game, please click on their name in the bottom left corner and click the "Report" button. Every report gets looked at.

The forum is not the appropriate place to report someone breaking a rule. There's an entire system set up behind the Report button that makes it easy to review what the player did and issue warnings/suspensions. Posting this in the forum creates unnecessary work and isn't necessary. I have delete a couple forum posts that did this and also e-mailed the forum posters explaining how to use the report button. (please check your e-mail before complaining about deleted posts. I'm happy to discuss it with you.)

Well, i reported an insult and **nothing** happened.

After the discussion in the forum i wrote it here. I didn't tell any name and only described the insults in a friendly way.
My post got deleted.

The strange thing is that i've nothing read from members who have trouble with that.
Obviously the only thing we "non-members" dare is to tolerate everything and to keep our gob shut :-(

I definitely do NOT think it's a member/non-member issue. There is no special treatment for being a member. All you get is added features to the game.

One of the main reasons members don't report as much as non-members is we tend to only make games with settings that are reasonable (not 5 min boots where people's emotions come out when someone hits that boot button) and also with people we have been playing with a long time because we find them respectable and courteous.

Those rules don't match the rules at the top of the ladder -- they should probably be updated.

I clicked on a name and couldn't find a link in the lower left corner to report. Am I missing something?

nonmembers are potential customers. Lifetime members are not potential customers. Wl is plenty focused on recruiting, retaining and converting more nonmembers.

The thing is that the host says, we shall report such "rule-breakers".
Well, i did and nothing happened.

Than i complained this in forum and my post got deleted without reason. And nothing happened again.

So the nearest assumption is that host doesn't care about all the insults. If so he shouldn't tell us to report something for nothing and shouldn't censor all the posts that warn other people before all the trolls that found WL in case of the advertising that was made to make money.

I have no comprehension for deleting and censoring reasonable posts only for the reason that they are capturing nuisances.

Your original post was deleted because it used offensive language. That's clearly against the rules, and goes against the exact point I'm trying to make in this post.

Did you continue to see that player breaking the rules after the report? If not, then that proves the system worked.

Players are not notified about warnings or suspensions given to other players. Just because you didn't observe anything, don't assume nothing happened.
