There's 0 places to look for strategies because there are so many maps and different settings How the heck do you get good at this game to the point you can win tournaments? O_O

I was good as now as i started the game. There are some basic skills you get by doing things, solve puzzles or by understanding math rules.
To win a tournament getting higher a ladder means absolutly nothing. Because of luck and manipulation.
Its like you would play a huge FFA and many players work covered together.
You could give me a (some) replay(s), then i can give you advice, if you really do anything wrong.

^(I'm not sure what this means, MRSKILL, you appear to have some words switched.) ________________________________________________________________________________
You'll naturally get better as you play the game longer.
There are some good guides online that you can read. They should cover basic ideas that can be applied to most maps and settings.

Master of desaster "I like the part about play with as good players as possible and ladders."
Till now i havent checked out the warlight ladder, because the game settings are crap. But i have only seen manipulated ladders and pro scenes till now, why warlight should be a exception?

Also 99% of the times you win, you'll be able to find something you could have done better Not giving a fuck about winrates1. They don't mean a thing 2. Once you get better they'll just grow naturally. You can hide them on your profile if you feel they are too low and don't want to show them Good luck, hope that helps!

Better you ask me. In all the other games i was always better than the best. Because they play for a "show" or use manipulated arguments and strategys.

One of the best ways for me to learn a template is to play it on the seasonal ladder. Since I only have 20 games, I usually focus a lot better and spend more time thinking about each move (and plan a turn or few in advance). I work way harder at those games, and by the time the season is done I'm generally a much better player and able to play the template well at a much faster speed. My first season helped me on other templates as well.
Other things that helped me: 1. Watching top match-ups on the ladders 2. Reviewing my games for mistakes and good moves 3. Having someone take the time to give some advice 4. Understanding that in cycle move order, you have to figure out the order, it doesn't just tell you like in no-luck cycle 5. Listing all of the possible pick combinations you can get and taking the pick order into account when picking (123, 124, 125, 126, 134, 135, 136, 145, 234, 235, 236) 6. Counting/calculating 7. Playing quick games on the template I want to learn and trying several different strategies to see what works

Sephiroth has some good advise.
I suggest: review the games of good players (available on the ladder), thinking about what you'd do at each move, and trying to figure out why they did what they did. Play against good players, either in a clan, on a ladder, or tournaments. Don't waste your time on open games, except occasionally; you'll usually get matched against very bad players, and playing them won't help you improve.
Most of all, invest some time and thought into your games, both during the game, and after the game when you get a chance to review it. If you just play thoughtlessly, and never try to figure out what happened, you won't improve.
Edit: an alternate path to becoming a great player, is to convince yourself that you're already a great player. Other people may harbor doubts about your ability, and you may have to avoid ladders and tournaments; however, you'll get the satisfaction of feeling like a great player without having to think very hard.

It looks like this thread is just for fun. Whatever, if you have really problems with your skills, you cant do anything to improve them. I have never see a bad player become better, whatever happened.
By the way it doesnt matter anyway. You will never get a fair play especially in ladders.

And no, even the scientist say its impossible to get better.
There are many ways to manipulate ladders.
