I understand that inactive games (after a certain period) no longer show up in the Open Games field.
The idea is to use this existing feature to enable "private games". I think this would be a welcome feature for a variety of purposes, and clans or map testers particularly will enjoy it and find all kinds of uses for it:
That's the idea, just much easier. If you post on the forum, then:
1. Someone has to read the thread, go to your Profile, and compose you a private message. 2. You must log on to receive the message, and (optionally) write back. 3. You must find their username and add them as a Friend. 4. You must find them and invite them to the game. 5. They must then accept the invitation.
If it's one-on-one, not a huge hassle. Imagine doing that for a larger game - going through that process 39 times (for a 40-player game!) could easily take a week.
This way, you post on the forum and then:
1. Someone has to read the thread and click on the link.
Done.
You can even set the game to start automatically once people have joined.

I have to go through this process for almost every single game I set up, so it would be HUGE for me.
For other players, of course, I have no idea. Hence why it's a uservoice - let people vote if they like it. If you don't want the feature, you shouldn't vote for it.
Having said that, I think implementing this would be incredibly easy and simple, so the payoff (even if only a small minority of Warlight players like the feature) may be worthwhile. (Compared to other Uservoices, most of which would incredible numbers of man-hours to implement.)
