Communism has some really good ideas in principle. However, I'm a bit nervous about the subject since nearly every communist government to date has been tyrannical, oppressive, and for some reason has a pattern of trying to stamp out every single religious group (And every other group not sanctioned by the government).

I just wish we could have the Socialism without the corruption and mass murder.

The problem with communism is that in practice it has to be set up and maintained by a vanguard of elite politicians, essentially replacing the tyranny of the corporation with the tyranny of a dictatorial regime. Note examples - Stalin, Mao, and Castro.

Technically there is no such thing as a communist country since communism is stateless, and the Soviet Union, China etc were authoritarian socialist.
