@Fleece, your right that you can't make an infinite loop, but you're wrong a to why.


You can attack any times from the same territory in multiatack, all you need is an enemy to capture it from you inbetween your attacks. Poireau ask if you can attack in a circle, and thus attack forever (in theory), but you can't. Since you can only enter an order from terr A to B once, it's not possible the way it works today.

Ah, true. You can't enter multiple orders from the same territory. (They overwrite each other.) So it's safe! Good.

But you don't have a trophy for 3v3 ladder Gnuff. It says the trophy is added, but when will it start being awarded? Sometime today I would assume (perhaps it was mid ladder update)?

@Chris trophies are awarded at roughly 1:30 am GMT. Its when the ladder updates or something, since you always get the xp for having a certain rank at that time too.

I bet the AI will be noticeably better when One Army Must Stand Guard is turned off, since it has always assumed 0 armies can be left on a territory. :P

It says that when attacking with all armies, you still have control of the territory even with 0 armies. Why in the above picture by Zephyrum the blue doesn't own the territory in the top right, and instead it became neutral?

Blue was eliminated since pink took out his commander. Hence all his territories became neutral.

it doesnt let you send 2 attacks from the same territory to the same territory, so only a finite number of attacks possible per turn


Not true, if an attack results in you not taking a territory, another attack can be made. You can purposely hit a stack first order to weaken it, then predict the stack will move, kill the remainder of the stack and take the territory the stack was originally from, all in 1 turn. So yes if you constantly hit something with the commander, you can make another move. Since a commander with 0 armies cannot kill a fellow commander with 0 armies, it is actually possible to create a looping moveset if you always include another move incase you encounter the enemy commander.

tl;dr: MA + Commander = Broken.

So many new possibilities... Broken, but interesting.

I don't think Fizzer expected us to take a couple hours to notice flaws in that system. XD

But I'm enjoying the update so far. :]

Edit1: @Glamorous: No, if a commander leads a fail attack, he just retreats.

Even if it's something like 100 armies vs a commander, he cannot die attacking, only defending. Or so I think. Need to test this out.

You get this warning for attempting a suicide attack with the commander (when your attack is guaranteed to fail + the amount of losses passes the armies used plus the commander bonus of 7).



Post-test result: Commander dies, I'm eliminated. GG AI 1.
